Hitting Online

This may be an unpopular thing, or maybe already in the works. I am not the best at this game and can somewhat hit on All-Star during ranked but not consistently. Would it be possible to overall make hitting easier?? I think a lot of people would agree I would rather have a slugfest 12-13 game than a mind-numbing 2-1 games where the winner bunts in extras to walk it off.

They should have two different Ranked modes. One for the player that wants to play a 'chess match' type of game and one who wants a Moonshot type of game.

There shouldn't be 4 different hitting options for competitive online. At some point you have to learn the game if you want to compete. Sitting back with one hand on the controller shouldn't even be an option online.

What if I use one foot instead? Would that meet your competition difficulty standard?

Depends how you’re “bad” and what your consider “easier”…if it’s because Outlier is dumb and can be impossible for some, especially considering the often unstable connections, then I would agree.
But I’d also argue that they’d keep a skill gap by doing things such as making the pci smaller. Making very early/late misses. And actually needing to get the pci on the ball to foul pitches off, etc.
I’d argue pci placement, as a skill, can actually be improved upon, as opposed to what the game seems to have devolved to.
When the top suggestion had become, “buy a monitor” to compete on All-star. That’s just garbage game design. -

You can play with one foot if you want. All I'm asking is that the programming doesn't give you an advantage because you're "slow" at the game.

If someone is "slow" at the game, then they better not use Directional as the timing window is ridiculously short compared to Zone.

Slow to learn bro. Not slow as in reaction time. Should newbies be able to compete out of the box? I don't think so but that's not up to me.

I get it...I am just saying that Directional is not some type of crutch for "newbies". While it may be physically easier to use one thumb instead of two, you definately do not have a competitive advantage with Directional...as it is a lot more difficult to get successful results than compared to Zone. If not, then a lot more folks would be using it. Use it online, and you will see.

Next season with the PCI anchor debuting, batting could get a bit easier.
Do you use Custom Practice?
You could get better with more reps. -
Or, you know, you can put in some time and effort to get better and develop your hitting skills like the rest of us had to do.
I can't help but feel a certain amount of entitlement in these type of threads, "oh I struggle, please make it easier for me". So disrespectful to the players who have been playing for years and spent thousands of hours to get skilled at this game. Sorry, nothing personal towards you. But that's how I feel about your request.
