This is the same word policing nonsense that has the NBA ban the word “owner”.
In any event, does it really matter? Are people that triggered by something like this? It’s someone you’re encountering for 15-20 minutes of your life. If it bothers the OP that much then just quit and find a new opponent.

If you honestly believe the person named the team that for any reason other than to be a racist troll then you choose to be ignorant. Also as far as racist/inappropriate names. I'm not gonna throw a fit when I play someone with a stupid name or let it bother me for a long time but I will report it and hope the companies actually try to do something about it.
If you are an adult playing a game, targeted for all ages and you choose to make some stupid inappropriate team, you are the problem. Not the person reporting you -

They certainly can ban obvious phrases. Like any sort of slur or a phrase like 'Cotton Pickers' that someone would only use to be a troll. I seriously doubt there would be any sort of uproar from the farming community if Cotton Pickers was banned as a team name. -

This type of stuff happens all the time. I’ve seen logos of large breasted women that probably offend people, I’ve seen lots of teams using Trump’s name and slogans that probably offend people. Honestly, I bet the fact that your PSN tag glorifies organized crime probably offends someone. My advice is grow thicker skin and move on. Or just quit when you get offended since 95% of users use tasteful team names.

Was on the fence about preordering the game. But after what I just experienced, not only am I not preordering, I am not buying the game anymore.
I decided to try a BR game and matched up with a user that I reported, to SDS, MULTIPLE times for a racist team name and a vulgar logo.
But as usual; nothing has been done to this player. He STILL has the same racist team name and STILL has the same vulgar logo.
And to top it off; he know has a vulgar PSN ID, which has been reported to Sony.
Glad to see this company is on top of keeping trash and childish like behavior away from the game.
I'm sure you all can see whom I am referencing by checking my game history and seeing what I mean by his team name and ID.
However, it won't show his logo. So, even though this will get me banned, I don't care.

And that point is that this is ANOTHER thing that SDS does NOTHING about.
I've matched up with this same player NUMEROUS times. And EVERYTIME I have matched up with this player; I have reported them, in game and through this site, for having a racist team name and a vulgar logo.
However, SDS has not done a [censored] thing about it. The person is still playing.
That shows me that even though they included multiple ways to report a player; they don't care what someone does, as long as it doesn't affect their pockets.
Whether or not someone else buys/pre-orders the game doesn't matter to me.
I'm not paying to have some entitled child, and yes I said child because that is how they look, advertise pornography and racism in a game that I play.
As for everyone who replied and stated, in one way or another, that you'll see me tomorrow/next week/in 22/with a new ID; maybe if some of you actually cared about how these children are ruining online gaming, there would be companies that actually did something about it.
Buy the game if you want. Don't buy the game if you don't want.
While I enjoy reading your posts and agree with 99 percent of what you post this is really something doesn’t make sense to me. The dude is getting from you exactly what he wants, attention!!! His behavior is classic attention seeking behavior and you’re just feeding into it. What he’s done he would never do or say in person. He’ a coward. So why let it bother you. Instead, embarrass him with your gameplay. Heck if he wants to be a racist coward then you should become the most toxic player he has ever played. Make the game miserable for him. But you can’t blame SDS for this they have better things to do right now than police social stupidity. Like fixing gameplay for next year and putting out a product worth our money. I would rather them fix server problems, freezes and other issue which have plagued this edition of the The Show. Just saying, and please don’t mistake my response as acceptance of this behavior I just believe that there are different ways to express your displeasure than placing the blame on those who develop this game. This is a personal problem of your opponent.
