Robbie Ray Quirks

So I just unlocked the August potm Robbie Ray (I know, a little late to the party) and am looking at his quirks.
Can anyone tell me why he has the “sinkerballer” quirk but doesn’t actually have a sinker? He only throws a four seam and a two seam…
Strange.

If the break on a 2seam fastball meets a certain threshold, they get that quirk. It means nothing though, just like all the other passive quirks.

So basically it does nothing, right?

It going to lie. Robbie Ray is one of my best pitchers and the only left handed in my starting rotation. People don’t see him often so the my don’t know his delivery and release point.

He went 6 in his debut for me just now. He outlasted Walter Johnson. He gave up two solo shots in the third (one to Trout on a slider in and one to Tommy Edman on a change). Both swings were somewhat questionable. He never topped 96 but my opponent couldn’t seem to catch up to either fastball, and definitely chased a few curveballs.
I’d say he’s earned another start, even though the meta is all outlier in the 500’s where I’m at. The outlier can suck it.
