I started in the 2nd inning this past year and didn't learn to flip until july/August.

How active is the market early on and is it easier or harder at the beginning? I'd imagine it's much more competitive. Thanks.

For single card flips it can be very lucrative and also very risky.margins of several hundred or even thousand(s) can close in seconds.hundreds of orders( buy and sell) placed and filled faster than can be shown.

if you are a bulk volume flipper it is next to impossible for the first couple weeks until the market settles a little.as prices change too quickly to maintain profitability.
knowing the market is critical, having skill in using that to anticipate market movement is also.
being adaptable is the most crucial.as the market is different each year and its easy to get stuck thinking you know what it will do.

Margins are extremely small, but the frequency is definitely extreme. You might only make 100 stubs on a transaction but you can easily make 6-10 transactions a minute

This was exactly my strategy. I have NO problems with the small profit stuff when there is significant volume.

Last year was my first year really trying to flip as I had been trying to apply madden market dynamics to the show but I really figured out last year that volume > big profit flips. As late May and June rolled around I was able to do 800+ stub profit flips WITH volume but the early stuff was all volume based.

So besides live series players it’s not to crucial to flip the first month. What I would do. This seems like a trend. Get Trout as quick as you can. Sell off high golds and low diamonds. Trouts price the last few years started around 200-250k then just went up until it reached like 500-600k.

Some might gloat and say well getting 600k in stubs isn’t difficult. Well it is difficult the first month. It can be done but not easily and not with out eyes always being in the market.

It’ll also be interesting to see how the app effects the first few months of the market. Last year the app didn’t come out until half way into the game cycle. August I think.

Smaller margins, but a much faster turnover. If you choose the right cards the item sold notification pops up as soon as the item posted notification fades.

    This is also true!

In a normal season the trick to making tons of stubs early, (that I used a lot more this year then past) is to watch which Live Series players are going to go diamond or gold or even silver and invest heavily in them. In a strike season that might be a bit more difficult so hopefully we have a season when the new game drops.

For instance this year it was Buxton, first few weeks his LS card went for 5k or less but by the time the first upgrade was made he had jumped to 15k I believe.

The amount of money you can make on the first day is pretty crazy. Don’t look for huge flips, find popular silver/gold relievers because the amount of sales on day 1 for them is huge, almost CONSTANT. People want relievers for conquest so you can make like 800-1400 stubs in about 20 seconds. Find a few different guys and you fingers will have a tough time keeping up.

Also early on the Gold exchange is decent. You can do it for about 1200-1600 coins and day one most of the golds will go for more with a few near the 7-12k mark. Win some lose some draw some but when you get a few Stantons or Jd Martinez you really get a nice boost in stubs

This. Very fast. But you aren't gonna find wide margins like now. But with the speed it goes, because there will be so many more players on the market,. It's just as profitable if not more.

It was good enough I had Trout the first week and the complete LS collection in 3 or 4 weeks. If all you did was flip cards of all types you could make over 100k stubs per hour. If next years game is like this one though I'll take it easy on flipping cards and just enjoy the game. So many free diamonds that it's easy to compete and complete collections.
