Digital vs disc

First year I'm thinking of getting the digital copy of The Show. Any Pros or Cons or does it not matter? Just wondering

I just find digital easier, unless you are getting a disc to display or trade in later I guess, it really is simpler to do digital

Back on PS3, it made more sense to me to buy physical since the game did not actually install onto the HDD. I also had Best Buys GCU which saved 20% on all new games. Those were the days...
I went about 50/50 on PS4 since digital is more convienent, I wasnt saving any storage space, and I was no longer getting that sweet discount at Best Buy. I went back to physical at the PS5 launch since you couldn't use external drives for cold storage, and i didnt want to have to redownload from PSN every time i shuffled games around on the SSD. Since they got that working in an update, now I'm about 90% digital and only buy physical if there is a really good deal on a disc.
For The Show specifically, I definitely prefer digital. I play it more than any other game, and it's easier to not have to worry about swapping out the disc. I can also have it loaded up on the PS4 and PS5 at the same time, which you can't do with a single physical disc.

Dropped my PS4 in 2016 and she sounds like a a bus with a bad transmission when you put in a disc, it scares the cat so I went digital, I like digital theres less clutter.

So, the download space on the PS5 is the same whether you go digital or get the disc?

Correct for both PS4 and PS5. The game downloads from the disc to the HDD or SSD on both consoles so you end up with the same download size either way. After the download, I believe the disc is just used as an authentication key so you can't download and then sell the disc.

Since Gamestop stopped offering decent prices on used games (they once did believe it or not), I've gone full digital for new games.

For sports games, I always find better to get the disc and then trade it for something else or sell it for like 10 bucks when the next one is coming. But now that I live in Portugal I don't have that option with MLB... It's digital or nothing.
Now, If you don't care about getting a little bit of money back at the end of the games' cycle, digital is way more confortable.

I only had one disk version and it was the show 16. Now I can't play it because it won't copy completely from disk to ps storage. But any digital versions I have, all the others from 15 except 16, I can just download and replay. And with internet speeds like they are now it takes about as long to download a game as copy off of a disk.

My son and I stopped doing disc after buying an external drive. Haven’t regretted it. Between the convenience and the digital bargains online, it’s the way to go. Especially with this game and all the times I play it each day. Loading a disc every single time would be a hassle. No thanks.
