Playing ranked seasons and my record is around 36-29 im not great at the game I hang around 400 once in a while jump up to 500. My last few games have all been against people who have each played well over 700 games and there records were pretty much an even split.

But the moment the game starts they dot pitches and they have great at bat after at bat.

All in all it just seems like people purposely tanking to avoid players of an appropriate skill level.

I don’t mind a challenge but being completely outclassed isn’t fun

It’s a byproduct of the cumulative wins reward. They’d rather do that than play people of their own skill level and make World Series.

I get it. It’s just frustrating. I want to play people at my own skill level and slightly better so I stand a chance and can improve.

    Though I’m never hitting outlier.

TS19 I played almost 200 games with my record being about even, maybe 10 games above .500. Hit 800 twice that year. 95% of those games were on AS.

I didn't tank. I'm just not good enough to elevate out of AS on a consistent level.

That said, I do wish there was a way to prevent us lesser skilled players from having to match up against the demon's just wanting easy games. I just don't know a viable solution other than killing the WS reward card that come at 40 wins.

People definitely do this. I can’t say I blame them one bit. I do not do this at all but I play the majority of my games on HOF in RS and it is the most boring mundane 45 minutes of my life. I’m good enough to get to HOF and stay there just not good enough to enjoy it. Every game I play is a strikeout fest and the winner is determined by whoever hits a home run. There’s no hit variety and IMHO the pitch speeds are entirely too fast. Accompany that with small timing windows and you get people purposely tanking to try and enjoy the game.

I don’t think it’s easy wins they’re after. HoF setting is just too hard to enjoy for most people. My record is about 74-45 or thereabouts, but I never tank. I do, however, frequently lose four or five in a row, then end up in the low 600s, and get matched up against guys that are about .500. I sometimes lose to those guys, but I do win most of those games.

It isn’t by choice that I drop that low, but I do admit the game is more enjoyable on AS this year.

Last year, AS we awful. And we complained that when two people were matched up and one was over 700 and the other was below, the game was played on AS. They changed it and made it so this year that game is played on HoF. I think that contributes to guys tanking as well.
