    Hey all,

This is hardly a super important matter, but I'm really curious which quirks you all find effective. I think Outlier is an obvious popular one. I also like Mr. Splitee for pitchers.

So which quirks do you like and why?

Side question: if a pitcher has the sinkerballer quirk but no sinker pitch, which pitch are they alluding to? Vida Blue is the example.

Same with knee buckler. Is that for all breaking balls or one in particular?

    Thanks.

Well almost every quirk doesn't matter in the slightest, very few are "active" quirks. Dead red for hitters is a good one though

yeah you can pretty much ignore quirks. I agree with eatyum. All they really do is slightly make your PCI bigger, and I mean slightly. You gotta measure it in pixels. dead red is a classic, and first pitch hitter also is active. road warrior or whatever it is that gives you a boost on the road, or at night, or vica versa, that also is active. But it's just a tiny difference in the PCI size.

Other pitches sink, not just a sinker. For example, a splitter would be one. I hope that answers your side question.

I kind of assumed they weren't super helpful.

    Possibly more so against cpu?

I started paying attention to pitching quirks and noticing that they were effective against cpu. For instance if a pitcher has Mr. Splittee like Rollie Fingers, the computer will swing at fork balls in the dirt 90% of the time. But other pitches they lay off. So it got me wondering.

I do realize that the computer sucks and unless you are playing on legend, is intended to play into things like quirks. Was just wondering if there was any merit to then beyond that.

Outlier is the only quirk that matters for pitchers. For hitters the active quirks are good and the other quirks don't do anything(For example if someone has bomber it just means they meet a certain power threshold).

For your side question, players with 2seams are given the sinkerballer quirk as well. In real life they are basically the same pitch

Yeah, that makes sense. Sometimes I'm too literal hahaha and was like: that doesn't match. Obviously changeups, splitters, forkballs, etc, can sink.

    Thanks.

I don’t know why they haven’t gotten that pitcher right yet. I feel it is a little better than the past couple years. But some pitchers it is just another 4-seamer.
