According to a job listing, PlayStation is looking to hire Quality Assurance (QA) testers specifically for MLB The Show. The description for a "Baseball Test Analyst" calls for persons that are knowledgeable in the sport of Baseball and in the MLB: The Show franchise to apply for the position. Buried within the job requirements is a line that specifies that the applicants must have a "Basic to intermediate understanding of networking setup and hardware, as well as how its principles and components apply to modern console, PC, and mobile gaming/functionality."

Just saw this today, I have been playing with the expectations of this being my last year of playing the show. Because I bought a PS3 and a PS4 for only this game and wasn't going to buy next gen consoles this time around, since my pc's are much better. Try playing Rocket league at 144-240hz for a year then go back to a 60fps game and let me know how much fun it is. I started with MLB pennant race in 96. I would really hate to not be able to play anymore but consoles just don't realistically meet minimum competitive requirements in my opinion.

If your one of those people that say the human eye can't see more than 60fps please understand its not about how many frames your seeing, its about how soon your seeing the first frames. Which in this game is pretty much everything, Pitch recognition as soon as possible. Take a look at some of Nvidia's side by side comparisons.

With that being said, I would expect all PC players to be on the same servers with the only cross platform being play vs friends only. I'm not looking for a competitive advantage over Console players. I'm just looking for a chance to play a great game on great hardware and not have to blow money on a console i'll use for only baseball.

If the Show comes to PC, that will be the downfall of the Show. People complain about people possibly using aimbots now. It will almost be a given if the game is on PC.

Hasnt hurt, FIFA, Madden or NBA 2k. And most FPS are on PC and they are thriving. And that is where most of the cheating is. I dont think there would be too much to worry about. But you can bet people would use it as an excuse from day one. When the fact is that a lot of the best players would be moving to PC because they already have great setups and would like to play at whatever resolution and with better Frames P/S. Something the PS5 doesnt have. PS5 locks you at either 1080p or 2160P and 60 FPS regardless.

I disagree with you on NBA2K. That is a “toxic” game, as they say on other forums. I played an invisible player once. Learned it was a glitch people do.

I really want The Show on PC, I'm with the other guy that only owns a Playstation for The Show. I want to get away from this archaic way of playing, being stuck to 16:9 ratio like its the mid 2000s and playing at 60 htz. Playing The Show in Ultrawide 21:9 at 144 htz with proper mods and some Reshade would be light years ahead of these old fashion consoles.
