Does anyone know how to put Ohtani in the starting lineup as a batter? It seems as though there is no option for this. Sucks.

when adjusting lineup before a game scroll down to the pitchers and insert him as a designated hitter. if you selected him as a pitcher already he won't be available to hit as well, unless a national league team is the home team of course

Was about to make a new post but I'll revive this. This DOES NOT work. On SOME occasions, you'll see him in the substitutions screen during a time-out. I've never seen an option where I can put him in as a hitter before a game or in the custom league menus. Has anyone found a workaround for this?
Here I am thinking I'm Billy Beane trading my top hitter for Ohtani and a few extra pieces. Only to find out I can't use him as a hitter..... -_-EDIT: Specifically talking about Custom/Online League
