Auto generate best squad

Has anyone looked at or used the “generate best squad” option in your main “manage squad” tab? With this weekends release I’ve got all cards, minus a few choice 99s that I didn’t personally care for or wouldn’t improve the team squad I would have for the respective team.
I just collected Griffey and wanted to see what the best lineup would be. Used the auto option and lineup was this:
C - FS rutschman
1b - AS vald jr
2b - FS Franco
SS - Finest Tatis
3b - FS torkelson
LF - PS Alvarez
CF - FS kelenic
RF - Finest SotoBench :
FS - Julio Rodriguez
SS - pudge Rodriguez
FS - Witt Jr
HRD - alonzo
Award - harperThere are players nearly better in all categories at a certain position and didn’t make it at all:
1b - Gehrig/foxx
2b - robinson
3b - chipper/arenado/schmidt
LF - Rosario/winker/o’neill
CF - Jr/mantle/mays/kike Hernandez/marte
RF - bellinger/tucker/vlad sr/babe/mookieAnyone have similar outputs? Any ideas on why this isn’t what would reasonably be “the best” squad?

I feel like maybe it just loads up the highest rated player in your inventory for that position. So if you have a ton of 99s like most of us do, you’ll get a random
99 in each position who may or may not be the best. Or maybe the game has some wild analytical theory and those guys “get on base”.I’ve honestly never used that feature. I wonder if you tried to do it more than once if it would load up the exact same team or if there would be changes?

When I first started collecting I used that feature and for fun do what you did and it always has generated a squad that I don't agree with and that other players with better all around attributes are passed over. No clue how they determine it. When you go to switch out a player, why are they ordered the way they are? If you put all 99 SPs in your rotation, how is the order determined? I assumed their attributes were just a bit better but as you just demonstrated, that's not so....

I do this often with the same result. I don’t know how the game determines which card is a better rated 99.

Isnt it something to do with live series quirks or something? I remember someone on here has mentioned similar.

Yeah there is some formula behind it. It also dont count paralleled cards. And it will always give you a back up catcher on the bench.
