Doesn’t explain how end game cards like JV, Wagner or Chapman crash too. Nothing we get in Finest will be better than those cards and those cards are rare and not owned by lemmings who would sell for pennies on the dollar for a pack of cards. I have an advanced degree in business from arguably the top program in the world and so no one can convince me this wasn’t manipulated.
Newer cards that are also endgame at cheaper prices= jv, chapman, wagner to all drop in price, also those cards are easier the obtain then in the past due to the RS program and BR Program. Your business degree must have not been that advanced if you cant understand simple things like that.
Ok tough guy. I’ll refrain from engaging with a child but let’s just agree to disagree. I could teach a course on this though…

bro what? Who cares its November, cards being cheaper is awesome, ya'll stay worrying about the market and making stubs rather than actually playing the game. Its virtual currency, its not real money.
Playing the market is part of playing the game, dude. It's especially important to people who don't play this game competitively online, because the market is how they earn stubs to buy the cards that drop in battle Royale, events, etc.
Also, said virtual currency can be bought with real money. So depending on whether you spent actual dollars to purchase stubs, it can be real money to a degree.
I think I bought $5 worth of stubs early in the year and felt dirty for like a week.
It would be great if SDS got rid of the option to purchase stubs. They won't. But at least they've made it possible for all players to get all things (BR Program, RS total wins).

I get its part of the game but you can make infinite stubs by pretty much playing the run it back showdown over and over again actually playing the game then staring at the screen doing plugging in numbers.

I think for some people, playing the market is like playing Gwent in The Witcher 3 -- a game in itself. That's valid, though it's not my thing.
I do love me some Gwent.

Everyone that prepared for the collection in advance got destroyed on this. The random dude that can barely get to a million stubs was able to get some players they typically couldn’t afford.
Investors and people that play the market and not the game got absolutely destroyed.

Really the only quote that matters in this whole thread. So true. I bought Kluber at the beginning of the tank for like 325K. That hurts. But it's all good. I've got what I need for the big one. I think.

This happened last year too when the finest dropped. I picked up Pujols, Sale, Teddy, etc for pennies on the dollar. Within a week or two they started their assent to $1 million wait in line cards.

LS Tyler Beede has 140 sell orders at 66 stubs. Next highest price is 185.
LS Jay Jackson has 23 sell orders at 66 stubs. Next highest price is 185.
LS Sean Hjelle has 118 sell orders at 33 stubs. Next highest price is 93.
LS Jacob Webb has 108 sell orders at 22 stubs. Next highest price is 81.
LS Jay Flaa has 141 sell orders at 66 stubs. Next highest price is 163. (Plus 15 buy orders for 5 stubs)
LS Tucker Davidson has 133 sell orders at 33 stubs. Next highest price is 128.
LS Reymin Gudman has 23 sell orders at 65 stubs, followed by 25 sell orders at 64 stubs. Next highest price after that? 202.
LS Ian Krol has 67 sell orders for 55 stubs. Next highest price is 224.This seems pretty artificial to me.
LS Drew Carlton has the following buy orders going on looking to undercut:
8 buy orders for 9 stubs
12 buy orders for 8 stubs
14 buy orders for 7 stubs
14 buy orders for 6 stubs
14 buy orders for 5 stubs. If this isn't artificial deflation (I hope I'm using the correct term), I don't know what is.
I'll probably go and make a long list of this. There has never been a crash this severe in the history of the franchise, and it is very concerning.
People who had no reason to sell cards just held those cards but now with the finest and big collection people need stubs so now they are selling all those Duplicates they been collecting IMO.

which brings me to my only point, just play the game and make stubs, i get the ls investments on diamonds during the reg season, but when its late in the year just play the game.

I for one and many other flip at work or out and about, When at home flip very little cause I play the game/ It does matter to some of us. Especially when trying to collect all the legends and flash back cards. I will be flipping cards until I have all the legends and flash backs. I also play this game until the day the next game comes out.

And I get that but let’s approach this from a different lens. Does SDS have a vested interest in manipulating the market to create engagement with their community and have they shown a deliberate interest this year in making all cards more accessible? Markets at times behave irrationally and crashes are fueled by fear and underselling. Get all that and your answer may be right but I also come back to the questions posed and those lead me down a different path. If some of the elite cards weren’t effected I might think differently but rare cards that should have largely been not available and locked into collections crashed too.

The last part is what I do not understand as well, I think it has to do with more players and first time players IE XBOX. It did not just effect player cards but it effected equipment, Unlockables, Stadiums, unifroms and who knows what else. Every type of care I have flip though out the year was affected by this crash. I believe it has to do with people not selling duplicate cause they did not want to put there time going though there inventory to sell them. Now with the Finest cards out people need stubs to get the finest cards IMO. I am just trying to think why it affected almost every type of card in the game.

First, less people than you think will go for the collection. Second, once everyone saw how juiced the finest are, they dumped other cards. Third, as is typical in market crashes, selling begets more selling.
Remember, these cards have no “intrinsic value” that creates any sort of floor and supply is way higher this year
Yeah, Paul Sewald is a huge upgrade over Sig Chapman...
No but guys like Aaron loupwho is a lefty out of the pen selling at 7k with 124 h/9 is a huge value card, It allows you sell chapman if need be to get more cards to collect.
Chapman et al also only has value to highly competitive ranked players. There are tons of people who play the game entirely offline, or just events/br online. I think a lot of people just don’t understand the make up of participants in the market.

I will disagree to an extent here, my friend...I have every card, as do you, but I don't really have any of the rare cards locked in as I always lock in the lower level ones first.....Plus, watch some of the top streamer guys, they sell off rare cards they don't like to get stubs to try new guys coming out......There are only so many people who get every card and hold onto them, so selling these high value cards when new packs drop isn't a surprise and I don't think conspiracy theory.....(I would think SDS would want them to keep their value leading up to the collection drops which always is accompanied by a stub sale)

I got hurt pretty bad also, but I figure if I’m locking the cards anyways who cares. I have more players then I can use anyways.
Mainly I’m looking for extreme pull hitters with 90 plus fielding, reaction, and arm along with 99 speed at this point.

Really just investors, I play the market quite a bit, but I never carry excess inventory, I get stuff that sells fast. Even with cheaper prices the margins are still there so it's status quo for me.
Though I won't be flipping anymore with the new collection coming out as I won't have a reason to the rest of the year

I went on a huge spending a week before the crash if I would have waited I could have got double the cards and would put me closer to have all the legends and flashbacks so yeah that hurt. it is ok I got what I wanted just sucks the market crashed this bad,

It hurt what I was flipping, I believe it is because people were not selling there duplicates and now they are so I just have to wait that out and then the cards I was flipping will go back up. There was an unlockable diamond that I was buying for 23k and selling for over 70k and now that diamond is selling less than 2k.

Ah, I mainly have been flipping flashbacks and legends because everyone is preparing for the collection, so that's where I felt the most $ was.
