After a month almost every live series card is useless. I understand that better versions of these cards will be available. But do we need 95+ cards early in the game cycle. Every year everyone says the game played better at launch or at the beginning of the year.An easy FIX for this is to restrict which cards are being used within certain levels of Ranked Seasons.
WS) No Limit. Can use 25 "99 Diamond Cards"
CS) 15 Cards 95+ / 10 Cards Max 94
DS) 10 Cards 95+ / 15 Cards Max 94
WC) 5 Cards 95+ / 15 Cards 86-94 / 5 Cards Max 85
PR) 5 Cards 96+ / 10 Cards 86-95 / 10 Cards Max 85
RS) 10 Cards 86-95 Max / 10 Cards 80-85 / 5 Cards Max 79
ST) 5 Cards 86-95 Max / 10 Cards 80-85 / 10 Cards Max 79Lol, everyone would whine at that idea later on in the year. The whole point of ranked is that it’s YOUR BEST squad vs other people’s and even though everyone may have 99 cards that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be allowed in lower ranks. You’re turning ranked into a lineup restricted event, but that destroys the whole point. And I think would maybe even make it less fun. Also, let’s say little Timmy just got the game and grinds ta4 and gets an all 97-99 lineup. If he wants to use his lineup online (Which he will have to do for some missions). He will have to get to WS to use his real lineup? This idea would only work at the start of the year at best and the guys with god squads early game are not gonna be matching with Timmy and his half bronze lineup. Just doesn’t make sense to me. You’re gonna play against better teams, that’s baseball. And that’s the sacrifice you’re making to not grind as much. But save time and hop into h2h earlier. People just can’t take l’s nowadays huh?

SORRY If I forgot to mention that yes this restriction should only be within the 1st 60 days from the day the game is released.

No Way !!!! Only for 1st 60 days because it makes it fair play for EVERYONE because NOT everyone has the time to grind or money to buy stubs to develop their own God-Squad as quick as others do. So 60 days is very reasonable after the game is released. But you are 100% correct that anyone coming new into the game NOW can easily obtain a God-Squad team in 2 weeks to month via grinding out TA's.

While I like this idea I feel like it takes out a good amount of the fun. When your in regular season with a pci big as a house basically any card can rake and it’s fun to be the underdog. Although I see where you’re coming from the randomness and the chance to match up and beat some guy with every card is part of the fun to me. Especially when I was starting getting no hitters vs chipper jones guys with my 92 marichal.

I think there are so many good things they could do with content, because there are a lot of really cool things in place. However, the content is never going to fully make sense to the majority of players. The content is designed in a manner to make money for SDS. Yes, I know that the content is free and is so much better than any other sports game. But it is still designed in a way to get people to spend money. The game is not designed for the cards and gameplay to work and make sense over the course of twelve months...it is designed to maximize profits for as long as possible, until the next year drops. You don't need to spend money on the game, but many do and SDS has designed it in a way to capitalize on that. It is a business and you can't blame them for that.

It doesnt make it fair for everyone.it penalizes those that put more into it.doesnt matter if it is time or money, those that put more into it should get more out of it, not be held back by those who cant or wont.

Tell little Timmy to “Git Gud,” then. I kind

I think one possible answer to the grind for useless 99's would be to have multiple events going on at the same time, with good rewards, that restricted teams in interesting ways. Someone else mentioned this in a different post. RS could even have multiple venues with interesting restrictions, maybe?
I would love to use cards that I'd never consider just for variety's sake.

I just wish they made some effort to keep ratings consistent among the different card types at least.
Vinny Castilla’s 1998 Silver Slugger card should not be a higher overall than Kris Bryant’s 2016 MVP card, and certainly shouldn’t be the same overall as George Brett’s 1980 MVP card. Honestly, it should be the lowest Awards series 3B card.
