I thought once you take over a team's stronghold in Conquest they shouldn't be able to attack you. But I've been attacked MULTIPLE times by the same team even though I've taken their stronghold?
I'm on turn 24 in the TA 1 Central map and I've only completed 1/4 of the map because I keep having to defend/conquer the same [censored] stronghold.
I'm seriously thinking of starting over.

They can definitely still attack you even after you've taken over their stronghold. A sound strategy is to usually leave as many fans on your stronghold as the computer has on a hexagon adjacent to it. For example, if you have a stronghold and the computer has 1, 1, 3, and 4 fans in the adjacent hexagons, I'd leave 4 fans (or 5 to be safe) in yours and you'll never get attacked.

If the team that you conquered has enough fans in neighboring spaces they most definitely will try to attack you to get the defeated stronghold back. That’s why you attack those first so they won’t attack after you’ve conquered the stronghold

Starting over might be best. That seems like a lot of turns for an Affinity map, which means the CPU has had plenty of options to reinforce. If I am not mistaken I do the entire US conquest in under 30 turns.
My method is to make sure the newly captured stronghold is encircled with my own hexes before making a path to the next stronghold. Then just keep and eye on it to makes sure no enemy is getting to close.

Just read up on the basics before you start again so that you understand what is going on. It will help you so that you don't have to restart a 3rd time
-
As long as you have one less fan in your territory than a potential attacker has in an adjacent territory, you will never be attacked. At least, I have never been attacked using that strategy.

How do you leave partial fans in a stronghold? Anytime I take a stronghold and go to move to the next adjacent hexagon, it moves all the fans out of the stronghold. I see that the computer can move partial fans; but it's not letting me.

Yeah, I looked at the map after I posted this and noticed that since I've been battling back and forth with the Cubs; the White Sox have 20 fans in their stronghold and another 15 or so in EVERY hexagon that surrounds their stronghold.
Gonna definitely start over.
Any pointers?

Just end the turn and then move fans out of your stronghold to one of the adjacent ones, leaving back enough. Or continue on with that turn, I'm not sure if the CPU typically attacks you on the same turn you took their stronghold, and then Move fans back (or reinforce) the following turn.

Someone needs to learn how to play Conquest.

This is not true. If any adjacent space has more reinforcements than the stronghold that stronghold will always be vulnerable to attack. I’ve had a stronghold attacked by an adjacent space that only had 2 reinforcements on many occasions.
