Smoltz Program

Card is listed as a CP; but if you view the card during the Moments; it's listed as an SP.
Weird.

Not weird. This is Smoltz we're talking about.

No, I understand he was a reliever and a starter.
What I was getting at is after you enter the first moment, when you pause the game and hit triangle to bring up the card, the inscription on the card states CP, but when you look at the stats, it states Starting Pitcher.
Seems like they just listed him as a starter if the moment doesn't constitute a save opportunity.

I'm glad they've got him as a closer. I feel he is more useful there. He was great in both roles though If say he was more famous as a starter, won the Cy Young, world series in 95, pitched the fabled game 7 against Jack Morris in 91.
Still, I think he's more useful in the pen.

It makes total perfect sense. pitched 21 years in mlb 17 as an SP and 4 as CP.
having 2 cp cards and no sp cards was definitely what should be. -

having 2 cp cards and no sp cards was definitely what should be.His career was primarily as a starter but in terms of useful cards I think it's far better to have him as a closer. He should fit nicely as the 7th or 8th bullpen option.
Plus, at least he's on the Braves and not the Cardinals or Red Sox haha.

I liked these moments

I wish you could choose with certain guys who have both starter or reliever where you put them... Smoltz, Vida, Sale, Eck and so forth.. Obviously if their in the pen they don’t get there starter stamina...

As a starter you could also use him as a relief pitcher.

That's true.
