It makes perfect sense. He is a new card and more people want to buy the card than there are people pulling it from packs and selling it.

1.newly added in a recent roster update
2. Trout dropping below 100k
3.many,thinking LS collection too expensive,trying to finish it with it becoming so much cheaper
4. there is a piece of good news- most experienced players completed the collection early because of this .
5. demand is so high only because of #3 -
