Just realized we’re likely to get a 99 120+ h/9 Corbin Burnes. We all know how nuts his potm was when it came out. A finest would be crazy. I went like 16-3 with his potm card.

I think they slowed down the maxed out 120+ h/9 attribute. Look at the TA4 cards, most of them hover around 100. I think it was their way of saying the maxed out guys are too OP

Oh and that Burnes POTM wasn’t very good once you saw him a few times. Half decent but I always hit him hard. Great pitches, no deception

He was lights out for about a month. His h/9 were high at the time and he had great control. Only way you were piecing him was if people were still using analog pitching. Then better hitter cards came out

All the finest pitchers last year had 120+ H/9. The reason it wasn't a problem is because the no hitter cards didn't exist. The only starting pitchers with over 110 last year were finest, Pearson, a couple topps now and awards scherzer

Yeah maybe you’re right but look at that new Valenzuela card. It only has 115 H/9 compared to all others who have 125. It’s a no-no card just like the others

No hitter cards are still somewhat based on the actual season too though.

1990 Valenzuela had 9.8 H/9, so he has 115 on his card.
    1991 Ryan had 5.3 H/9, so he has 125.
    2015 Arrieta had 5.9 H/9, so he has 122.

The only one that’s pretty off compared to the rest is Verlander, who had 8.1 H/9 in 2007.
