Quitting on ranked games
- Opponent bunts and is good at it
- Timing window sucks. Supersonic outlier fastball.
- Opponent is a nibbler. Getting every borderline call on strikes.
- Stupid RNG errors.
- Squaring numerous hits with no reward.
- Horrible defense animations cost you runs.
Anybody else quit or is just me?
I can relate to all of these; but I haven’t quit.

Just waiting for Battlefield. Game is a joke. Constantly matched up with people over 1000 miles away trying to hit 110 mph wiffle balls while I am throwing slow pitch softball.
Pretty much all the things you listed are related to connection issues. There's a bunch more. One of my favorites is 99 base stealers standing there with there thumb up their [censored] until the pitcher almost releases the ball, then they go. I don't even try to steal most games because my runners will get thrown out. I now give up at least 1 non-pci hr a game. Been a problem with this game for a long time but gets worse when more people leave. The only people left playing are close to servers with poor to mediocre internet.
Look at pretty much every top player and multiple 12-0 banners. They are people close to Florida, Texas, Colorado, Chicago, west coast and north east. That is not a coincidence.
Internet is that shitty in rural America ?

I don't think I've quit a ranked game this year. No deficit is insurmountable. #2 and #4 are annoying, but #3 just sounds like you quit when your opponent is good at pitching. You gotta battle through it and adjust. Eventually you'll get mistake pitch
Yeah #3 pinpoint+outlier+20mph change up differential+ and good = 1-0 or 2-1 games. I love offense. I never quit in a offensive game. Its a video game bottom line, I want it to be entertaining .
I feel you, Hof and legend can be very frustrating and boring when it's constant pitchers duels. I prefer a shootout any day. But you can eventually hit at that level with practice. I couldn't hit a lick when I first got to Hof, but after a number of games I started getting the feel for it and was squaring up the ball consistently. Pitching this year is what it is, you either gotta take the time to adapt or don't play ranked.

Me? I am a minute from KC with wired fiber internet. Almost the center of the US. I can ping anywhere in the US in under 75 ms. The problem with this game is there are allegedly no servers within 8-9 hour drive of KC and imo the matchmaking connects to the server closer to the person with no so great internet.
For instance, if I in KC match against someone in Florida it will connect to the Florida server because Florida internet (along with northeast and Chicago) is trash and that is their way of trying to make the pings close which screws the person with good internet. As bad as Florida internet is, it will still connect to the Florida server faster than my fiber due to location which makes my game [censored]. I am always matching against people in these server cities and it is a miserable experience.
My first 3 innings of most ranked games consist of me taking a ton of pitches trying to sort out the ridiculous pitch speeds and trying to get a pattern from my opponent. Reading and reacting to pitches like I would like to do is impossible majority of games. Basically guessing the whole game because you can't read and react to 110 mph wiffle balls.

I quit if I am down by 3 runs, I suck at hitting or if my opponents keeps getting hit after hit after hit, Ball finds a way to get though, weak pop up that drop, when this stuff start I know I have no change at all. I have not played RS in awhile. Tried the event and it was not fun at all. i am grinding the offline for 7th inning and flipping cards.

Excuses. Must be embarrassing to put such things on the internet

I quit two years because of 4, 5 and 6. I have hope every year they will fix it but it seems like they added three more problems. I remembered when they first said they were gonna eliminate being able to go back safely to 1st on steals..

Let me paraphrase that for you... "I quit if literally anything doesn't go my way".

So here's the deal Tyler. I have over 400 losses in RS this year. I really could care less about losses in a video game. Just last night I wanted the 1k or so xp for a daily so I put in 8 Marlins players and quit after the 2nd inning when I got it with the score tied 0-0. I lost a legend game with an all Royals/ex Royals lineup with most of them having like 80 contact. Not sure how many times I need to say or prove I don't care about losses.
What I do care about is not having the same experience as other people. I see streamers playing on legend and can easily read and react to what I see on their screen. Either what I am seeing is what they are seeing or it is what legend is supposed to look like. Either way that is not what I see in the majority of my games. I lost to bmac (a top probably 5 player in this game) 8-7 on legend in a game where I was literally guessing the pitch and location and selling out on fastballs. I may not know the exact issue that is causing the problem because I don't know how the match making and servers work but I think I am fairly close and there IS a problem. I truly believe the issue lies with the match making and the server the game connects you to. Could certainly be something else like some code.

If for some reason my team all of a sudden acts drunk or some loser with terrible averages is just having a hell of a day when he plays me. The game straight up makes you lose. If ya don't see that, SDS has you right where they want ya. DUH!

nothing like going around and bumping old threads because you lost a game lmao see you in a few weeks
