Fielding as a pitcher

Hey Guys,

I am having a problem when I am pitching...a ground ball comes to me and I can't throw to first...I make the motion but won't actually throw the ball, it stays in my hand.....any ideas what is the issue?

Depends on your Fielding controls, right?
I have it on something simple, I think it's called "Buttons", where I normally just press B to throw to 1st. If it shows the crosshairs, you need to aim with the thumbstick and then press RT to throw the ball. This happens a lot when pitching or playing in the infield.
