Nothing happened…just saying it’s basically how the zone system works at this point anyways. Get the pci near the ball and see what happens.

That argument makes sense if the contact takes place between the pci and the batter’s hands. I’ve recently seen many instances where a ball inside of the pci is a weak fly and a ball above and/or away of the pci is a no doubt Homerun. You can’t really chalk that up to the plate coverage indicator not being the bat.

RNG, but if you are centering up PCI at least more than opponent you will win majority of games

Correct…the more good swings you take you put the odds in your favor. I’m just saying the whole thing could be solved if you did away with the pci. Same logic would hold true. If you are aiming properly with your swing influence and good timing you would still increase your odds of winning.

They really need to explain the PCI more clearly on the settings screen or somewhere. They have said on multiple streams that the pci is not the bat. It’s a plate coverage indicator, basically where your batter is looking. Should be in big red letters when you’re doing your hitting settings.

There is no logic to the pci results. Center pci groundouts, pci edge home runs…..whether it’s incorrect pci feedback or fluky results they might as well just get rid of the pci and have directional hitting where you aim/influence your swing to a certain part of the zone. Zone hitting is pointless in its current state.

I use to be a Zone snob. I switched to directional last year and haven't looked back. I agree Zone is more 'natural' hitting but it's just as much RNG as the other hitting modes.
