Happy 500th to Miggy!

Fwiw, this program took about an hour and a half to complete. It has no time limit though so take your time, unless you need the 35k to finish the program.

Figured we would get him at 3 EST... I haven't seen a tweet from SDS so I guess not until tomorrow.Disregard.
I can’t believe he has gold defense. Anyways that card is a beast
Honestly that is kind of generous for a 37 year old Miggy that spends the majority of his time at DH.
Its a career card. Why else would he have his marlins speed?
That makes your argument worse, he has a career dWAR of -19.1. For comparison... Frank Thomas, who also played 19 years in the MLB, had a career dWAR of -22.5. You could also compare to David Ortiz who had a career dWAR of -20.9 over 20 seasons. Should be closer to Thomas (99) or Ortiz (99).

Fielding and speed aren't career averages. Its their single best season. Would griffey's best cards always have 85 speed and diamond fielding if it was a career average? Absolutely not. I see milestone cards as very similar cards to signature series, with a little juice towards whatever the milestone is for. They have said in the past that sig series is best speed and fielding seasons. Soriano wasn't a good defender in the second half of his career, diamond fielding. Also miggy having similar career Dwar to Frank, who played 400 less games in the field and all of them at first base, and Papi, who played 1000 less games in the field, all at 1B, when Miggy's worst defensive seasons were all at 3rd when Prince fielder was clogging up 1st is a bad comparison

To make things worse, Brandon Inge had to be moved from his excellent, longtime position at third base so that Miggy could be there. Prince should’ve been made DH or something to avoid all of that. Brandon wasn’t happy about it (why should he be, he was the greatest third baseman the tigers ever had IMO, defensively speaking) and he eventually was traded away to the Athletics due to the debacle.
I was a young girl at the time that happened, and Brandon was my favorite player. I was devastated lol.
