MLB The Show is broken
-
They honestly completely broke the game. Even broken for offline grinding. You're telling me every time I square up the ball on a rookie red moment for showdown my result will be good okay? This game needs fixing asap. Showdown is currently impossible to complete due to a broken game. PS. Yes, I took pitches and swung at meat balls.

I've never failed on showdown yet... Guess u just gotta get good bruh

You still defending scammers?

Literally finished The Showdown on one try. There's a skill gap this year, clearly if you suck, you'll have issues doing things.

Lmao "scammers" mf literally got paid. Still crying non stop? Nevermind, by looking at the post, guess the game is still "bahhhrooken".

Bahhhhhhhroookennnn

I guess the game is "bahhroken" because any [censored] [censored] can't get into a game, and score 10 runs.

Showdown is definitely not impossible to complete, just a good challenge. I get plenty of good squared and perfect/perfects. Hitting still seems too easy, def too easy in online all star games. Have not played on hall of fame yet. Just made 700s in ranked season so will see how gall of fame plays. Played one game in the 600s where there was a combined 30 runs scored between me and my opponent. I squeaked out the win but pitching was no fun. Everything no matter what pitch in what location was crushed.

Sounds like you’re mad you suck lol

Been having the same thing squared up the ball I get good ok
Contact its like I'm playing the show 19 again -
Baseball is a game of failures... you’re successful if you win on average of about .280

The game is broken for sure, but unrelated to Showdown.
I was in the middle of a competitive game tied 2-2. He had men in scoring position on 2nd and 3rd base with 2 outs. I managed to get him to hit a routine popup to center field for what I thought was gonna be the 3rd out....easy play. I positioned my CF in the middle of the target, and miraculously, the ball somehow went over his head and bounced to the wall allowing both runners to score. WTF?!
The ball wasn't even hit that hard, it was a lazy popup to center field, the ball had even bounced a couple times after it went over my head before I reacted, because I was in shock. How annoying and frustrating, granted, it's not something that consistently happens, but that shouldn't happen at all.
On a separate play, same game, he hits a line drive to my left fielder. So I begin running down towards the ball hoping to catch it. Instead, the animation takes over and forces my left fielder to take a few steps to his left before making his way downward towards the ball, allowing it to drop right in front of him. Why? How about just running downward towards the ball like I want it to, instead of making some forced move to the left first? What's wrong with this game?

Ah yes, the little Billy code took over your game. The scripted gameplay is more obvious this year than the last few. Nothing you can do when this bs happens, just watch your opponent taunt like he’s good when the game favors him.

Showdown is easy if you actually play it all the way through.
I’m not a great player by any means, and I’ve completed the 1st inning, AL Central, NL Central, and AL West twice. Some pre patch, some post-patch. As long as you think about what you need for the upcoming moment and organize your lineup accordingly, it really isn’t hard. Put Edwin Encarnacion at shortstop for boss battles, Mitch Haniger at catcher, etc.
Actually take advantage of your perks too. If you get a contact/exit velo boost on the first pitch, swing if it’s anywhere close. Stuff like that.
Obviously if you’re skipping to the final boss immediately, you’re going to have trouble.
