A Comparison Between the PS5 and XBox Series X
-
Hi all, I thought I would share my experiences between both consoles and the pros and the cons between the two.
First off, let me start by saying that I started on the Old Xbox for this years game and that I have been playing MLBTS since 14 on PlayStation. I play online occasionally, but not as much as most of the guys I know well on here.
So, I started on the old Xbox (One, I think). Nothing but frame rate issues and almost unplayable. For those that are playing on the old XBox hardware, I salute you. I am unsure of what it plays like on the PS4. I simply went with the Xbox because I knew I was getting the series x before a PS5.
The XBox series X is amazing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The lack of lag through that new controller is simply unparalleled, even unplugged. The colour is it produces on my monitors and TV's is simply amazing. And, more importantly, MLBTS 21 plays sensationally on it. If I were to say that there is a huge difference between the two, it would actually come down to the controllers themselves.
The Xbox has the most amazing response time I've ever felt from a controller; input lag is nonexistent. I can turn on those fastballs much easier with this controller than I could with the old PS4 Pro, and not much has changed. The PS5 feels like it is stuck in the mud when I swing at a pitch compared to the xbox. Where the PS5 shines, though, is in the accuracy of the actual sticks themselves. I could not get PinPoint Pitching down at all on the XBox, but on the PS5, it is as easy as it gets. I actually did not consider how two different controllers could make a game feel so different. PCI placement is far more accurate on the PS5, over the XBox.
Would I suggest one over the other? Well, if you have great control of your sticks and you want a better response time, go for the Xbox. If you want more accuracy with your pitching and PCI placement, but have to speed your bat up, then I would say the PS5.
Either way, when it comes to this particular game, there are pros and cons, and nearly all of them revolve around the controllers themselves. The games looks the same, although I would give the edge to the Xbox for colour and overall picture quality, but both are great.
Anyway, I thought I would post this just in case anyone was curious about any differences between the two.
One other area that the PS5 separates itself is in the sound department. I play with high quality headphones, and that crack of a perfect hit is amazing.

The sound is that much better on PS5 ?

Change the display settings to 720p on Xbox One and it improves the framerate. Doesn't fix it, but improves it.

Cool you found both consoles in the store. Or did you buy from a scalper?
