Offline players guide to getting 5 wins FOD Online Event!

I know there is the other thread about this but thought I'd start a new one on how to win 5 games events online for offline players.
Finally got my 5 wins today as a offline player! Sure, my record is probably somewhere around 5-25 but here are some tips :
1.Get the game into extra's where you have the extra runner on base.
2.When you get to extras HERE is the MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember :
P-L-A-Y B-A-S-E-B-A-L-L
Yes my offline friends, it's simple as that! (pointing my finger to my head right now).
-When you have the runner on 2nd, move him over to third. That means BUNT because I can't hit a lick online.
-When you'll have a runner on 3rd with 1 out. Either take your chances and drive him in OR .... the easy solution.... SQUEEZE PLAY!
You see, I've noticed a lot of these online players just play HR derby online. They don't even bother to play baseball. In extra's, the advantage overwhelmingly goes on the side of the offline player.
Get that run in, and of course if you have last wraps you win the game. But if you're the away team, save a shut down closer like Rob Dibble - yes the Gold 84 Dibble - in to finish because he throws 102 FB and 100 offspeed. ALWAYS PICK ROB DIBBLE AS ONE OF YOUR RELIEVERS!
Now on defense in extra innings, like I said before, hardly any of these guys move the runner over to 3rd. They're still swinging away . Yes you will get beat sometimes because some are very good, but if you have Dibble you're chances to shut them down are on your side.
-Few other things I noticed : Some players try to always steal w/ the runner on 2nd. Easy way to get them out is Pitch out or just hit the button that takes your pitcher off the mound. I've picked off so many guys from just stepping off the mound. I think they think you'll press X/A to advance but it will sometimes throw to the catcher. Dont' do that, just wait a second or two and they'll break for third, throw to third, easy out.
Also seems a lot of players have no idea how to defend a squeeze play. or even understand the situation to put one on.
Finished the program w/ those 5 wins. Don't need to worry about Felix mission or Brooks 8 hits (will never use this guy again - he's terrible at this game for me hitting)

ya brooks robinson - i think in all my online games zero hits w/ him. i only got like 5 hits offline but for some reason have no success with him offline too.

Also after you lose a game you get put into an easier grouping for a couple of matches.
So if you want to just forfeit your first match, you should see 2-3 easier matches after. In events there's zero penalty for losses/quittting

cool didnt know that. First 15 games or so i have no idea what i was doing as I never play online.

stack your lineup with speed, Stealing is pretty easy. If you pay attention and take advantage how people play you can get runs easy if you get a runner to third with less than two outs. I got to 10 wins, it is not easy, Usually I have not problem getting the first 3 or 5 wins it is the last two that I had struggle with. I finished the FOD last night only did 2 moments. Only stat mission I did not complete was yankees hits I needed 2 more.

PSA: YOU DON'T NEED TO PLAY ONLINE TO COMPLETE THE CLEMENTE PROGRAM. I completed it with any online stats.

You have to get the 5 wins before losing twice, correct? Or is the 5 cumulative until the event is over?

If my math is right, with the new moments you no longer have to get five online wins to finish the program. You just need to complete one of the stat missions.

Yeah there's like four or five new moments added to the program, and you also get a 99 tim anderson when you finish them.
