The top guys are saying the speeds are insane and they are unbelievable at this game. You want faster speeds but not so fast you just pray and swing. Pitching is throw and pray and now hitting is the same way, swing and pray

Something is definitely off. Ive been WS for years now and i can barely touch a fastball. Like someone said it feels like your swinging a 50oz bat underwater lol

Yeah HOF online is near impossible right now.

Same as last year. Vast majority struggled mightily when they first hit HoF. But then they got use to it and it was the preferred difficulty for most of the decent to good players. God like hitters still preferred legend.

No it's nothing like last year. I'm very used to HOF and Legend from years past, this year it's a nightmare.

I don’t think the pitch speeds are an issue. Playing on legend pre patch was fine. It’s the clunky timing window from the new patch. Even on HOF now in ranked seasons, hitting is more difficult (if that’s even the right word) than legend in the previous editions. It’s just so choppy and awkward. I think the pci sizes are fine, but they really need to revert back to the previous timing windows.

HOF is really difficult. It’s basically who ever starts Kluber gets the W. It’s a huge adjustment but I’m not entirely opposed to hitting being as hard as it is. If players got rewarded for when they actually do put a good swing on the ball, I will be ok with the current difficulty of HOF. Right now if you manage to square up a a ball, there’s no telling whether it will be a homer, double, line out, hard ground ball, weak ground ball, deep fly out, or weak fly out. Pretty random.

I defended the new patch for a few days, but after more time with it, it’s broken.

Not getting rewarded for good placement and timing anymore at all. Feels a lot like luck. Everything is coming of the bat soft.

    Frustrated.

I don’t wanna jinx myself, but I’m 2-0 vs kluber on HOF difficulty haha. People get pretty predictable because they think the sinker is an auto out. I actually found TA ohtani even more of a nightmare to hit off of with that splitter and slower slider, then he can zoom 100 by you.

Yeah, I can see that. Regardless, hitting any pitcher on HOF rn isn't easy; but more importantly, it isn't fun. It's basically just playing for the sake of seeing who RNG favours and who will ultimately win the game by a score of 2-1. Even winning isn't fun.

Not there in RS yet, I just haven't put as much time in ranked so far in 20. But the legend league games, friendlies, and casual games have been a mixed bag. It played very well on release, if anything it was a hair too slow. But now it's a little ridiculous.

In a legend game yesterday, my opponent had Newhouser and I had Sale. I won 3-0, but it simply wasn't fun. 5 hits between both sides. 17 Ks between both sides. Newhousers fastball was almost untouchable. It just isn't fun, even when you win.

I'm convinced they're able to tinker with pitch speeds on the back end without having to release a patch.
