My player is a second baseman and any time the computer attempts to steal a base, my guy will run to 2nd to apply the tag but only makes it about halfway every single time! So, they steal 2nd and then my next appearance we’re down runs no matter what the previous score beforehand. Its ridiculous. Any body else having these issues?
    Thanks.

I'm confused. Are you saying your guy only makes it to the base to cover half the time?

Are you just letting the cpu move you? because they only give you a head start...its up to you to actually cover the base.

No it won’t let me get any where close to attempt the tag on the stealing player. I’ll start moving my guy over and it will stop me half way to 2nd base. So usually i’ll catch the throw from the catcher about 5 feet away from 2nd, and every time it says “the throw not even close”. It literally stops me from getting all the way to 2nd. I have even stood on 2nd before the pitch, caught the ball and it somehow refuses to let me attempt a tag.
Thanks for the reply tho appreciate it.

So you've encountered the playerlock middle infielder cover bug that has been in the game for a couple of years now. It is very, very hard to cover 2B on a steal attempt with the analog stick. I've found that mashing triangle/Y on stolen base attempts will get your player to make it to the bag and you'll actually see tagging animations. It still does weird things visually but it's much better than watching your second baseman pull up short every time.
