Does the PS 5 automatically look for other PS 5 players to connect with 1st before it tries to connect to anyone else?

I honestly think the search algorithm looks for any players within the search window on a first come, first serve basis.

I doubt it. You can always tell when you are playing so.one with a ps4 because it takes forever to start the game and you end up sitting there watching the pitcher warmup.

Facts - PS4 you'll be watching the pitcher warm up for 2 minutes and XBox will always take a long time searching - even if you're extremely close in rank

FWIW - I realized you can hold both the left and right stick to the left if you want to keep the match window low (or move it to the right if you want to speed it up)
