That leaves Athletics Rollie Fingers as the last player to appear in the Legends Trailer but not debut in the game yet.
I think he got a henchman card already but its like a 89 card
It's also a brewers card, not an A's card. Which is what he's pictured as in the trailer. Now that Ranger Nolan Ryan has been teased, every other player in the trailer has a card for the uniform they're wearing.

How about a Nolan Ryan with decent control for once
Considering he is the all time leader in walks as a pitcher, and nearly by 1,000 of them for that matter I doubt he'll get a card with THAT decent of control. As he probably shouldn't if they are trying to make these cards as realistic as possible.
Future stars, all star game cards, hr derby cards, etc.; there's nothing realistic about this game at all. Ryan is the all time leader; give him the card he deserves with the control and pitches, so that translates in to the game.
Unless they give him a slider or cutter, which he didn't throw, then it doesn't matter if they give him good control. Sure there are cards that get pitches they don't throw, but almost all of them are given a sinker instead of a two seam, which are practically the same pitch
Who cares. They're giving 99s to cards that won't ever sniff the hof. Give Ryan a slider, and make it premiere. It will be just as real as their 99.

Its not Rickey because he's already been a boss.
Nolan Ryan hasnt yet so it's definitely him.

I am always all in on Nolan ryan in years past you couldn’t touch the fastball. This year it’s more about breaking pitches though
-
Ha all I need is that change up. Come home
To papa Ryan -

I get your point, it is a fantasy based game with a lot of juiced attributes for certain card types. However, most of the cards that are juiced in particular areas are done so in areas they were/are good at. Future star cards while those guys have never played a game in the majors for the most part, are based on what they might project to be if they reach their major league potential. HR Derby cards are juiced power cards for guys that are already some of the best power hitters in the game. All star game cards are stacked based on what someone did in the AS game or maybe the first half that those all stars had for this season. Nolan Ryan is one of the best pitchers of all time and will undoubtedly have stacked attributes in certain areas. His k/9 will probably be maxed out, as just like walks, he's the all time leader in that category. To give him good control though would be giving him something he never really excelled in. Vlad Jr. is one of the great young players in the game, he's got an all star game card like you mentioned, but they don't give him 93 speed simply because he's good. They juice his attributes in areas that he is actually good at in real life.
This is somewhat true...but Cabrera is not going to throw 100mph sinkers for 100 pitches in a game and 2021 Degrom's arm does not have the ridiculous stamina his AS card has...he actually didn't even go to the game to give it more rest.
Considering the nonsense they do on some of these cards...there is no reason Nolan can't have a touch better control. If it is a 7th no hitter card, he only walked two in that game and should be enough to justify some decent control. He also only walked two in the game for 5,000 which was a complete game. He also had much better BB/9 during the second half of his career...since the next Nolan should be a Rangers Nolan...better control should be expected.

I would agree with you on this. Depending on the version of the card he gets I could see him having decent control and it being justified based on the type of card. Like you mentioned, if they give him a milestone card from his 7th no hitter, if he only walked two in that game giving him some pretty solid control would very well be justified. In years past his control hasn't been all that good but I don't remember what card types he had. This is the first year I can remember with the milestone cards so I like the idea of giving him a no hitter card that would warrant some decent control. In years past with Ryan cards, even with his not so good control, I've always liked using him. All good points you make and I agree.

Maybe if they go back and see if he got on the side of a fastball or curveball for a pitch or two they’ll give him a slider/cutter. Maybe he’ll be useful then
