HOF is on crack
-
I havent played much ranked this season… played my first couple games online and it is on crack… cant catch up to anything. I warm up on legend sliders all the way up, and HOF online is so much faster. I wish this game was more consistent.

It takes a while to get used to but once you start seeing pitchers like deGrom over and over you're gonna be smacking everyone around
-
No, you will not. Most games I've played, from the 400's to the 800's, are K fests peppered with dingers from both players.
Plus many opponents don't pitch respectfully.
RS is garbage.
-
Hes right you know

What is pitching respectfully?

Sorry bro ranked seasons is definitely not perfect but if you are striking out a whole lot that is not the game, that is you.

The best way to hit on HOF is to play on legend and then drop down. I played Edward Cabrera on legend a few days ago and lost, scored maybe 2 runs. The very next game I was on HOF against Cabrera and I think I scored like 12 runs and only struck out a few times.
I usually warm up in conquest on legend, that helps but it's still harder RS on HOF. I'd say that if you have a big game and really want to warm up for HOF, try to play at least a few games of online play on legend

If you want to practice for ranked Seasons you should be playing batting practice on Legend there's no reason to play complete games where you are pitching and fielding and everything. Pick a flamethrower like Chapman, Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson or degrom. It is bizarre how offline Legend is slower than online Hall of Fame sometimes. I'm sure that has to do with lag and pain and everything else internet-related. If this game was to truly ever be competitive it would have to be like those Call of Duty tournaments where all the Geeks get in the same room and play but that won't happen with this game cuz there are too many goons out there and the market for this game is not as big

Not true. There are days you can easily turn on DeGrom and other days it is just a blur and you have no chance. On those days, all the bp in the world won't help you.

I always warm up on legend in practice mode and am early/on almost everything. I play online HOF and cant catch up to nothing… late on everything. I play on a monitor etc. I wish they make practice in line with the actual game

Nah, it's both. I'll take my lumps on this, but even C Brev refers to people pitching respectfully.
The pitching in the game is buffed crazy. Most people aren't WS Gods like you, buddy, and don't spend time "practicing" for RS games (wait, I know: you don't either, right?).
Ultimately, I guess all competitive online leagues are like this -- people playing like D-bags and milking the meta for all its worth.
Whatever.

Try playing some legend friendlies before hopping into HOF ranked. Legend offline isn't anywhere near the same as online.
-
Cabrera's sinker is glitched. Are you supposed swing while ball is in his hand?
-
I’m still waiting for the explanation of what constitutes “pitching respectfully”…
-
Cabreras sinker is glitched… no sinker moves like that. They need to adjust the timing windows a bit, very unrealistic/ridiculous

Relax pal im not even that good at the game. Pitching has issues as well as hitting but striking out 18 times out of 27 outs is absurd and hard to blame the game for that. Anyways good luck. Didnt mean to get your panties in a bunch. Remember, its just a video game. If it makes you this miserable just don't play.

That line blew my mind too. Does it mean throwing meatballs so he can hit the ball?

Actually it isn't. I have made WS every season and once struck out 31 times in a 12 inning game. Really hard for me to believe people can't see the server/connection issues (whatever it is) that cause the ball to look like 120 mph and makes pitches impossible to read and react. When this happens I have to sell out for fastballs or simply guess pitch and location and hope I am right. Some people rarely see them and some see them all the time. Seems like the coast people rarely experience this. It is something SDS really needs to look in to.

i think his whole pitching motion is messed up...his fastball high is so deceptive

While I disagree a lot with the D E M I S E guy, I won't disagree that consistency from game to game in pitch speeds online at same difficulty is a nightmare. I played two HOF friendlies yesterday, both against WS players. Of course both were against Degrom (I will never understand the need to always use the meta pitchers in friendles, but..). First game I scored 3 runs in the first and was able to see and turn on fastballs. Second game it was impossible to basically hit a fastball and differentiate it from the slider..... this is common, and not fun.....
