Swing Timing

Think this may have already been posted but I am unsure. Has there been a change to the hitting aspect of the game? I last played Thursday and then tried to play yesterday and now today and I can't hit to save my life. Very late on 94 mph fastballs on Veteran difficulty( showdown mode) then when I swing earlier it goes to very early. Seems there is no in between. Also when I do make contact it seems like 99% of fastballs I hit are pop ups. Usually it only takes me a couple games to get dialed in but something seems off. This is in all difficulties.

Pretty sure it was just showdown for some reason. Played vs. CPU for Trammel program and destroyed the Tigers on All-Star. Did the season 3 showdown as soon as it came out in one try and was trying to do it again to finished the team affinity programs then work on the Acuña program but showdown seems nerfed now. Just will stick to grinding out online and vs CPU.
