It’s so annoying when people think cards perform better than their numbers. The main factor is user input, among a million other things. But given enough time and equal at bats the cards will perform as their numbers indicate. There’s always going to be variance, especially in small sample sizes. My last game I hit a walk off with Jackie Robinson. Does that mean he’s the best power hitter? No.
If you think ratings are the only thing that matters then you def haven’t used players like Soriano or Sam huff with horrible swings
Used both cards, love both cards. Swings are so subjective. Just because you dislike someone’s swing doesn’t mean I’m going to dislike them.
When you don’t ever play on HOF or Legend yes any card is good bc pitch speeds are so slow. Don’t try and tell me Soriano has a good swing. He can’t turn on inside sinkers and fastballs same with huff. Just because he can do it on all star difficulty doesn’t mean anything
It does when the players who use him and like him primarily play on All Star.
Im talking about good players using good cards on high difficulty. Hence why I included that it was on HOF and legend. People that don’t play on that difficulty have no clue that swing types even exist
I don't play on that difficulty because I don't play enough ranked seasons to move up, but I know swing types exist. Why are you acting like such a hardo?

It’s not you it’s the dude that’s trying to say players like Soriano and huff are just as good as their ratings and it’s just not true. Dude swears like he knows what he’s talking about. Like bro you have not played anyone good at this game to even know what you’re saying

Soriano is mostly good against lefties. It’s pretty know he just can’t turn on the ball well

Or any Mondessi card lol
Mondessi has one of the fastest swings in the game wth are you on??
I get what you meant. I thought you were saying he got a slow swing. Yeah him and his 60 power hits tanks

@twisted-_-tea-_psn said in JT f’ing realmuto:
Saw someone say he’s one of the better catchers because of the pop time quirk and decided to give his 98 a try and first game on HOF 2-3 with a 2 run shot and second game on legend 3-4 with another 2 run shot. He’s probably the best catcher defensively too. Def gonna move schwarb to left and sacrifice the speed out there because man JT’s swing is nice. Has anyone else found him as a diamond in the rough
Yep that was me, called him as the best C in the game too date.

But the point is you would still more than likely perform even better with the cards that can perform better at a higher level. And not to offend but that’s kind of how you get to HOF or higher without being a toxic annoyance to play against.
I really liked Soriano as well until HOF but it’s nearly impossible to turn on a inside pitch with him. SURE, you can go opposite field, But someone with a better swing can go opposite field AND pull a ball. You are just more equipped to deal with whatever type of pitch that comes on whatever difficulty when you have a proper swing. That’s never a bad thing. More fouls less Ks, more hits more runs, more wins higher ranking.

Go watch any content creator on YouTube talk about how bad and slow his swing is. It’s not even a matter of opinion it’s fact at this point. If you play people who don’t know how to pitch him (aka bad players) you can be decent with him. So if you’re not very good at the game I’m not referring to you so in other words I’m not referring to either of you

You aren’t good at the game if you do well with Soriano because every DECENT player just throws him inside and jams him up because his swing is awful. So stick to playing .500 baseball I don’t really care at this point
