Next Big Collection?

Whatever the new collection is, do you think that cards used for a big collection already will be used again? For example, the HRD cards used to get Otani or any of the TA3 cards?

Ohtani might be part of the next big collection. You would probably get a voucher for collecting him.

Take a look at all the Flashback and Legend cards that are bronze - Gold. Many of those cards are at the max price for their rank. This is caused because there is not enough supply to satisfy the demand. If there isn't enough supply in bronze cards such as "El Duque" or silver cards that were free when the game was first released, then how is there going to be enough supply in the even more rare cards to keep them from going to the max price. These are the signs that supply is short and that demand is high. I am not always correct in my predictions but I do understand supply and demand. I just made 1.5m on low supply cards Hendricks and Bogearts because I understood that demand would cause them to go up. I bought those cards between 5.2k and 6k and have been selling them from 10k to 14k. I have owned every card that can be bought from the market over the past 4 years and I have never bought stubs. My arguments are based on history and economics and if you believe otherwise I will gladly buy your rare cards as I need something to invest my excess stubs in as the max limit in inventory is 5m.

BTW the Flashback and Legends that are at max price is not causes by investors hoping to make a quick $. Investors have long left those markets as they cannot squeeze any more $ out of cards that are already at the max price. The only people who buy them are people who want to use them to complete a collection. The demand is real and will cause other cards to rise. Take a look at Prime cards. Currently there are only 14 available. Britton is a daily reward and no longer accessible and Tanana requires Trout. Next you have Frazier who was an event reward and no longer available and you have Harvey who will be unavailable after the 20th and Anderson (BR reward). This leaves 9 cards which might be on the market. Jason Bay was the most popular of the bosses but still somewhat rare and no longer available so actually there may be as little as 8 of the 14 cards available in the market. If SDS requires 80% of the prime cards then demand for them is going to go crazy. I don't know how high they will go but I do know that they will be higher than they are now and if you had the understanding to pick up a bunch a few days ago (Bay at 9k) you would be really happy even if you sold them today. Understand supply and demand and you will become a millionaire at this game.
Forgot to mention Reese is also an event card not available. So yea lots of demand and little supply soon to be incoming. -

Do you guys think there’s any need to have every card for a later collection? I really don’t feel like trying to buy the Schmidt, Sandberg, Frazier, etc.
No not every. I do have most thanks to the crash last week. Definitely will need guys like Acuna, POTM Lightning, Ohtani, etc.
Keep in mind though that the sets that have guys like Schmidt will be super inflated come collection time because not everyone will afford a $500k+ card meaning more demand for the other cards.
How are you liking your boy Ohtani?
Loving him this year! You know me though; I loved him last year just as much, haha.

I think it will be Aaron, and it will be tough. You will need Jackie, Rivera, Acuna, Ohtani, and Chipper.
I'm hoping it's this... Have all 5

I feel a little bad for the people who sold me all their rare and limited supply cards when they dipped a few days ago. they will be paying 3-4 times as much for them as they sold them to me for. Thank you XBOX first year players.
You know what would be hilarious, if they didn’t release another big collection and you got stuck with basically worthless cards that you would have to sell at a significant loss. That might fix your smug arrogance.
Did everyone buy their BR and rare cards back? Just noticed they are 2x3 times more expensive. I don't think they will be coming back down for a while.

When does Madden release this year? Probably right around then
I'm actually going to get it.
2 years of no videogame football, and I have the shakes.
I gave up on Madden, but will play for the trophies/achievements at least.
I'm wondering if we should hold on to Topps Now cards, just in case they're required. -

I have 1
I don't hit well with Aaron, so I may not need him.
All respect in the world to him though. -
Anybody holding onto a ton of the bronze legends that were released at the start of the game? I only have around 5-7 of each that I bought for quick sell back then. I imagine there are some investors that could have a stash of those.

I think most of those all sold when the Mariano Rivera collection dropped. There was a huge number of sales and lockins.
