Baserunning terrible

Please explain to me how a runner when there are 2 outs and there is base hit, dives BACK to the base??? Pop Warner kids know better. A joke. Please learn the game if you are going to make a video game about it. Maybe watch a game or two?

I’ve had this same issue. I’m guessing they want you to input more user control or something because last year was bad and this year is even worse. So many times I’ve had a man on 3rd stay unless I move him with a hit to the gap lmao

Another "its not my fault so it has the be the game's' thread.

Was the runner in a force situation? If so, would be a bug not a deliberately coded result. Log it as a bug report with video evidence (eg upload clip to YouTube). The devs need to see it happening to work out what causes it.

Actually no, it's bad programming bc this sh!t happens all the time.
Oh don't forget when the runner slides into the 3rd with 2 outs as well stopping all their momentum on a play they could easily score on.
Baserunning has been terrible for years and they refuse to address it.

May have a solution for that - most baserunning issues can be addressed by using classic baserunning controls (ensuring to avoid L1). For example that runner sliding into 3rd should be directed home (press triangle then d-pad down) well before he nears 3rd base.
Give classic a go - do some tests in custom practice. You’ll never look back.

I might try it to see it that works but typically i select the runner at second and send him home with X. I don't use the L1 if I don't have to because sometimes the commands get screwed up and they either don't go to the next base or the keep running for some dumb reason.
The really odd thing about it is it happens mostly on ground balls through the holes in the infield. Sometimes you'll get it on line drives as well but either way it's infuriating that the game is taking away runs from the user simply because of poor programming -

Yeah this is exactly how I do it to make sure a runner keeps going past 3rd base without sliding into it. But I use the left stick to highlight the runner and press X like 3 or 4 strides before he gets to 3rd and he rounds 3rd and keeps going home.
