I know it's early for something like this; but whatever.
While the BR Reward path is a solid ide; especially for people like me who can't go 12-0, it needs tweaked.
If you're going to have us do Player Missions; these players need to show up in drafts more often.
I've done 35- drafts so far this season and I've had Ryan Hearn show up maybe 2 times.
That's 53K+ in stubs spent and I've only had one, out if 8 players, show up in a draft.
Thats ridiculous.
There are 3 Gold rounds and 9 Silver rounds and we can't get at least one, of each tier, guaranteed?
Heck, I'd be happy with an extra Gold pick, as long as it was guaranteed, if it meant losing a Diamond pick. (Have the time the only viable Diamonds are SPs or relievers anyway.
Also, I think we should also be able to decide if we want to place a player in our starting lineup or on the bench when we pick them.
This way, if a Gold or Silver round pops up and one of the Mission players are t available to pick; we can place whatever player we pick on the bench and not burn a spot.
The way it is now, it's going to cost me more in stubs, to eventually get these Mission players, than it would be for me to buy the Diamond outright.
And quite honestly; its come to the point that I'm thinking of just cutting my losses and not bothering with BR for the rest of the games cycle.
Pretty sure if people started doing that, it would be a good thing.
I'm sure others feel the same way

You had 35 runs and couldn't get 100 program points? Oh my word..........

I'm luck if I can put together 2 wins per run; if that.
Part of it was me forfeiting my team as soon as I was done drafting; just so I could try to get one of those players.

So i started not drafting that position of the player i need for the mission and started seeing them pop up more in my drafts

I’m sorry, I want to empathize, but I just can’t on this one. It’s a blessing that SDS even created the BR program, prior years it was all about going 12-0, now there’s a shot at getting some decent rewards by just playing and winning. Instead of “wasting” 35 drafts, how about just playing them and racking up W’s? Even winning 1-2 games per draft nets 50-70 pts, more than half way through the program. Plus bonus pts if you can string some hits and strikeouts in a single run. You want them to guarantee mission players so it takes even fewer runs to net a high diamond that sells for a decent chunk? Perhaps they should just award 10 pts each entry and everyone can get the program done in 10 or fewer entries? They’ll be more than happy to accommodate, but don’t be surprised then when the reward is a high gold and you only get the high diamond for 12-0. I’m never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, be happy they’ve given you a chance at a great reward that otherwise most of us couldn’t even dream about attaining.
-
I’m sorry but there is no way you had 35 drafts and ONLY see one guy twice. I don’t know how much exaggerated this is but I don’t buy it
I finished the program in 8 runs and have completed 5 of the players and 1 more I couldn’t complete

The point he's making is if you'd played those 35 runs out...3 wins each run would have gotten you your 100 points and more so those missions aren't even necessary. It sounds like you shouldn't be playing BR cause you don't know how the mode works...

I didn't even see where you said you're lucky to get 2 wins per run...If that's the case...you definitely shouldn't be playing BR. If you can't even get 2 wins...you're not getting specific stat missions with those guys.

I know you're a really good player, @Hikes83_PSN ,so I am embarrassed to admit this, but I will.
I went back and looked at my history for this BR cycle. It took me 20 (!) entries. I got Hearns, Davis, Sale, Brach and Carpenter each once.. So based upon my experience, one out of 4 times you'll have an opportunity to use a "mission" guy. Your mileage may vary.
Although, maybe I'm drafting wrong...

Its likely a bit exaggerarted but the odds are still very ridiculous at times.
Last BR season I never saw Villar or Khris Davis and got gold Killebrew 1 time. The silvers were fairly common (Davis/Flower and Vida were most popular, Joyce not too far behind).
Coming from a guy who maybe gets 3-6 wins per entry (managed a clutch 9 win entry when I was at 85 points which jumped me to the end....thankfully) and definitely did forfeit a few drafts to redraft - I'd estimate I did at least 25 of them.
I've done limited entries (really rough start gameplay wise this season) but I do have Springer/Brach/Sale done within the draft I got them (got Sales all in 1 inning) and have the 40 TB. I've seen Davis once so far.
I'd almost like to see them make your first pick the "big diamond", the second pick is a mission player (gold or silver) which will deduct that tier from the remaining drafts and then proceed as they normally do the rest of the draft.

Well that is exactly my point. I was surprised myself at seeing them popup so much. 1 or 2 in 35? I call BS
