I'm surprised there aren't more comments about Schwarber. He's batting .293 with a 1.151 OPS and 15 homers which I believe is the most ever in a single month in MLB history. Matt Olson is going off but I think Schwarber definitely deserves the lightning card.
15 HR's all in his past 17 games. Interestingly, no more than 4 RBI in any game, but he did get to 4 a few times, including his 3-HR game.

My money is on it being Matt Olson.
I would love to see a boosted up card of someone like Matt Olson than another Ohtani card.
Matt Olson sucks and so does his swing. That'll make it three months I don't lock in for lightning.

@Collin_SDS_PSN ......It's TIME to break your own SDS "UNWRITTEN RULES." Give Shohei what he and we deserve......a juiced two way June POTM Card! That April POTM card doesn't do him justice. You can give him a 99 finest in November....give him a 97 or 98 for now : )

Meh I’d rather them not. He’ll get his card eventually and his 89 is plenty good right now if you parallel it.

What i love about the Lighting card is we get players like schwarbs who most likely will cool down after the all star break. For one month you can be the best player on the planet.
Ohtani is a special, special talent. He will get a 99 this year forsure but schwarbs deserves the monthly

Why not both : )

Schwarber and Schoop are the only choices...
-
I’m just hoping for an Austin Gomber. Make him the lowest card, I don’t care! I need another pitcher badly!
-
If the POTM lightning card isn't Schwarber, who has 16 home runs in 18 games, 16 of which are in the month of June, then I have no idea how sds comes up with monthly award cards.
-
I’d like to see a Bryan Reynolds card.
-
How can it not be Schwarber?
-
I think its gonna be Schwarber but if he doesnt get the lighting at least the 94 overall range
-
Schwarber is doing things that haven’t been done in a long time, If ever. He is the hottest hitter in baseball and he never gets high diamond cards. Would love to see it

I do agree that it will likely be Schwarber, and he is VERY deserving (although he still cant hit LHers and he will only really have any value IF he has a C secondary (where he has literally played in 1 Game Since the 2017 season)......but Ohtani is doing something that hasnt been done since the days of Babe Ruth. He has a 13 HR and 1.300+ OPS in June (.150 more than Schwarber, and as a pitcher in june, 4 starts, 2 wins, 23 IP, just 5 walks and 32 K with a 1.08 WHIP (he has 1 more start tonight as well)

Can Trevor Rogers get any love? He's had at least 5IP with 3 or less ER every start this season. Not to mention his overall statistics.

That just sounds slightly above average when talking about POTM. He’s had a great year overall though.
-
you heard it here first Justin Upton gets one of the lower diamond. He hit .338 with 4 homers in June.

I guess. He's a top 15 starter in baseball on the season, by every measure and hasn't even got a topps now card. Anyways POTM lightning could be Buehler, Acuna, Schwarber, Ohtani or Correa. Matt Olson, Sean Manaea and Jonathan Schoop have also had a big June but doubt any of them would get the lightning
