This game is beautiful & the best baseball game ever made. What Sony needs to do is send SDS a truckload of new servers, That’s it.
The game is beautiful? I dont know about that lol. Best Baseball Game? Its the ONLY baseball game lol. I had more fun playing the BEST baseball game ever in MVP 2004. That was the best. Im sorry if I dont like to play moments where I need a hit in one AB or my last AB and the pitcher drills me in the face or walks me. Im sorry if I want to play a game where base running wasnt horrible or fielding wasnt glitchy and bad. Or when I press a button to throw a ball, they throw lol
When I say beautiful I’m speaking aesthetically…The fields, players, sounds - It’s perfection.
I do agree with you in that moments suck & I hate them too.

MVP 2004 and the lefty HR glitch??? Dear Lord you lost all credibility

There are a few things that puzzle me in this game but I'd say it's much better over TS20 and still better over TS19.
The two things that puzzle me the most: 1) preloading throws seem to be a worthless endeavor 2) fielder urgency while better is still disgusting and I won't even get started on the pace at which the pitcher struggles to cover 1st.
All in all this game is still more enjoyable to play than what what I played last year.

I think the game is great and fun with the exception of the laggy unreliable servers they use. Some night's it feels like I'm back in time 15 years playing on old school internet and servers.... its just frustrating to get the same lag every year with no improvements. Dont tell me its because of the cross play.... because these servers have been pathetic for years now.

This franchise needs a overhaul and a redo. I dont see why they cant just take a fresh set of minds, with new and fresh ideas to do something great with this game. Developers who dont just REDO everything from previous games from the recycled legends, same old missions and moments, same classic stadiums, etc. Bring in guys (and girls) who maybe even have a better sense of the game when it comes to the physics and the mechanics of hitting and pitching because SDS clearly doesnt. All we get is the same game every year because, like Madden and EA, SDS has no competition! You know what, I wont even complain about the Server Issues this year. They happened, they were horrible and many games and stats didnt count but they are more understandable then this [censored] thats being regurgitated and recycled year after year by these video game developers because we are dumb enough to buy them.
I think its time for a new engine for mlbts. Its outdated. Graphically its copy paste every year. Gameplay is same way as well. Dedicated servers would be nice too

I tend to agree with this. Every single game is going to have glitches. There is just too much code in these games for everything to run perfect. I would bet a ton of money that the game runs pretty [censored] well in the studio. I think the number one problem with this game (and has been for years) is the connections (servers and/or match making). I don't have a clue how they decide match making or who plays who but I think this game would be way better if this was sorted out. A 95 mph fastball should look the same every game. Not 85 one game and 110 the next. I honestly think they lose a lot of players due to this every year. I know I would be more inclined to play. I can handle the losses, I just can't handle warped pitching, pool noodle swings and every thing else that comes with connection issues. It sucks the fun right out of the game. It is the reason I haven't been playing much lately and started playing PUBG again. I still play but when someone gets on PUBG I quit and change games.

Are with you 100%. MLB 18 was such a horrible game from top to bottom SDS had to do something to make the game fresh and new to earn their fan base back. So, in MLB 19 (Best online MLB the show game to date) they made the "Moments" "Inning program" and all of the things that is "normal" now. issue is the have recycled those ideas going on 3 years and it is stale now. They get complimented of how A+ content is, but is stale. They've removed the best part of grinding which was the xp reward path to put it with xp & inning program, once you max out the inning program the xp goes no where. I wish they would remove the moments in the game, most are annoying and not fun to do and are just there to be filler content.
I like the idea of a "daily" item, but daily moments are annoying and can get repetitive because that is the only well they can go to, because of previous praise they received.
The idea of showdown was great last year, but of course it has to incorporate "Moments" and I hate the fact that moments are basically the only offline grind. Its very boring and repetitive.
I know there are a lot of people who love conquest, but after doing those for 5 years now, its time for something new. I don't understand why they haven't given us an option to skip the simulation screen? I have counted it can take 10-15 seconds to sit through that which can add up to be a lot time.
I can only hope for mlb 22, they bring in people with new ideas or try something else. The same ole off line grind sucks, it would be different if online was fun, but it is the worse its been in 5 years.

You answered your own comment right there, as long as the sheep keep shoveling extra $$$ in every year these lazy devs will keep trotting out the same bs every year
-
I agree 100%. It needs an overhaul
-
Patience. They have not moved to 100% next gen yet. But I will say Matty V and Dan P need to go!! Their commentary simply NEVER changes and seems to be the same year after year, I only started playing in 19, but have seen videos of the older versions and it sounds the same every year.
-
100% disagree. The game is currently in the best state its been since 17, make PPP more difficult, reduce power to the contact swing, add more servers and do some networking fixes and we are good to go. Seriously the gameplay is near flawless.
-
Amen to that bro!

In my opinion, they should rebuild the entire game from the ground up. I've been saying this since 2018 and I was hopeful next gen consoles would actually realize that, but I kinda lost faith in that idea. I think we'll get tweaked versions of last year's game forever.
But we got birds

I want to thank the most of you who somewhat agreed and even added your thoughts. People need to understand that this post wasnt meant to come off as whiny. My gripes arent all with hitting timing or (why are my 118mph perfect hits groundouts!) This is more about the treatment of this franchise year after year. Things we have wanted improvement on that they ignore. Visuals, commentary, etc thats copy and pasted. There is so much they ignore and i was simply saying that maybe the Franchise could stand to get a fresh set of Developers in with new ideas. Im sure most of the community has ideas that they have wanted to see in this game or specific modes. Thanks for taking the time to comment and add somethings that bother you or that you would change. Remember at the end of the day we pay these guys every year, we are in control.

Which I am ok with, my biggest gripes were meatballs and check swings, both of which were fixed. Is the game perfect? No? Are there things I would change? Absolutely. But overall I am enjoy the game and think it's pretty good
Now when this game is fully made for next-gen without last-gen ports and there isn't graphical upgrades? Then I'll bring out my pitchfork

PPP? If you mean paralleling a card, yes. It needs to be harder.
I got 99 OVR 42 Series Jackie to Level 2 before I unlocked him because I drafted him a few times in BR.

Can they rebuild the entire game, from the ground up, in a year?
Or do you mean having a team that is just dedicated to rebuilding the game seperate from the team that works on it yearly?
