Desired Stadium Creator updates which may or may not already be planned for MLB The Show 2022.

    • Give the ability to lock the shell of a shared created stadium. Share the bones of your work only if you choose to do so.
    • Minimize the impact of Altitude so that high altitude stadiums don't just become HR Derby parks.
    • More flexibility with the outfield wall dimensions in Competitive Safe stadiums. Impact the game in a fun or unique way (ie. Boston, Houston, San Fran, San Diego) with the goal of having good, fun games, not just hitting more homeruns.
    • Improve the Upload, Save and Delete processes. Make it so it's no so easy to save over the top of another stadium when saving locally. It is my own fault, but it is way too easy to get confused and save over another file. And I did cry once after I did this. But we won't talk about that
    • Larger storage capacity per stadium, and/or props with smaller file sizes.
    • More props & stuff (flags, furnishings, banners, signs, more fun colorful buildings, etc.)
    • Overhaul the Vault interface and functionality.
    • Delete EVERYTHING currently in the vault and start over. Let everyone reload their final versions of the stadiums they previously uploaded, and then SDS must manage the upload process better.

Please and Thanks. Also, should we expect some of these things in an update this year, or maybe next year, or maybe not at all? Thanks.

Good list. I'd add a few things:

    1. Allow grouping of objects that can then be moved together. (Useful for moving entire decks up or down)
    2. Fix the field level pieces for behind home plate so they run flush with the field boundaries (there is only ONE field configuration, so how did this happen?)
    3. More signs, logos, scoreboards. Allow users to create signage within the editor.
    4. More grass textures (current ones don't look right, IMO)..add astroturf. Forget the physics, just give us the textures and base cut-outs.
    5. More flags (teams, AL/NL, custom)
    6. Address stadiums not being able to have night games.
    7. Allow for adjustment of field orientation once #6 is fixed.
    8. Allow us to place the bullpen ourselves.

    EDIT: One more:

I don't understand why they can't remove the batter's eye requirement for non-competitive use. If adjusting the outfield wall disqualifies a stadium from online usage, then removing the batter's eye should do the same...just give us the option. Instead, they could include tarped sections of bleachers that we could use. Would go along way to helping recreate historic stadiums.

I think they need to add a simpler version of stadium creator on current gen consoles

They've already said it'll never happen thanks to the horsepower needed.

Besides a "simpler version" will only be able to create simpler stadiums thus bifurcating the playable population even further.

Just live on Twitter until you get a PS5/XBS.

you nailed these on the head...

    1. Moving piece by piece to realign an entire level is obnoxious and time-consuming
    2. Have never understood this from Day 1. That and how the seating behind the dugouts seeps into the tunnels.
    3. 100% agree
    4. A lot of the grass in-stadium creator looks oddly colored and the current grass patterns are weird, with no option for generic looking patterns. But also yes, ASTROTURF!!!
    5. same as #3
    6. Time of day should mean something, to help with this make mandatory roofing/stands with lights on them
    7. Agree
    8. that and foul territory. Every ballpark in the MLB has different foul grounds, why can't I make my left-field foul grounds like Wrigley field with the stands hugging the foul line. The current one is Oakland A's-esque and with the glitched-out A+++ fielding of the CPU on any difficulty, you foul out on hits that would be out of play in almost every other ballpark. But back to your original point, yes the bullpens in foul territory make no sense to me, let me make a bullpen in the outfield behind the wall.
