Sigh.... Our records dont show for the last few years. At least post something if you are gonna cry wolf. A video or pic of said accusation. You should know how to report by now.
Did you see the pic I posted the other day? Played a guy who hit 11 corners on 11 pitchers with rookie Chapman who has 0 control lol. I used to not buy the hype but I've turned around my opinion, this stuff is a problem.
That pic proved absolutely nothing; Zen doesn’t improve control, only input
Correct, it doesn't prove anything. Where is your proof to back up what you're saying?
I mean, the ball placements are not egregious; they’re around the corners but not that close for most of them.
There are dozens of Zen videos; they control the input at the controller level, they do not rewrite the game code. Add in the fact that the game is very forgiving with input being perfect and it’s not hard to imagine you got beat by someone who’s really good at it.
Okay so you have no proof either. Could've just said so and save us all some time.
You’re the one who made the accusation without providing any evidence for anything other than being a sore loser. The game is flawed and these happen, but it’s not even worth raising an eyebrow.
So scroll along and hush then.
I know condescension is your game, but don’t tell me to hush, it’s an open forum. You have to expect push back if you’re going to dish it out yourself, which you do quite a bit. Have a nice day, exchange over
You said it wasn't worth raising an eyebrow so I'm telling you not to and ignore me altogether. I will say whatever I want because like you said so yourself, this is an open forum and that doesn't apply to just you.
Never questioned your right to say whatever, just to expect being challenged. Also the eyebrow thing was in relation to your picture; I expected something revealing and all I could think was « what I’m a looking at? That’s it? Nothing fishy here… »
Let me challenge you then, go into a game and use rookie Chapman then throw 10 pitches on the corners like in the screenshot I shared. If you can do that I'll apologize and personally bring you flowers and chocolate.
I’m not saying I could get 10/10 perfect, probably 7-8, maybe 9 if I’m in the zone. But that doesn’t change the fact that Zen doesn’t change the PAR size, and it’s an external device that programs perfect input. Without access to the game’s coding, you can’t do that. What it CAN do, is with being perfect over and over, then the pitches’ blue bar and confidence will fill up and shrink the PAR a bit. It’s not hard to imagine someone doing it; heck when I run into great players and they hit any pitch a foot outside out of the park, that is impressive. PPP is incredibly easy to master compared to hitting.
I'll tell you what, I'll lower it to 3 so you can pick 3 corners you'd like. That's less than 33% of what my opponent did given that he threw 11 pitches. You can pick your favorite corner yourself, whichever you're most comfortable/accurate throwing it. So 3 pitches compared to the 11 I witnessed. Show me you can and I'll eat my words.

Definitely using one of these.
Even is record is shady.
200-400 fours years ago. Hasn't played the last three years. Now yes in WS? Sure.
How to you report these people?
Take screenshots of the pitch/swing feedback after every homerun and post them here. Well see if it's "zen" or terrible pitch.

So, you said practically yourself, and have you seen the size of his PAR? It’s minuscule relative to his attributes, it should be way bigger. His fastball is easy to locate, slider still pretty easy; only his changeup is so-so. You expect me to throw in 1,500 stubs and forfeit until I get to draft him? You do realize with PAR being RNG, I could locate his change perfectly one game and not at all the next? I’m pretty sure the 2 that have missed the zone were changeups. You should have at least labeled the pitch types in your pic. 8-9 pitches were either fastballs or sliders.
Edit:Would you accept it if I try it in RS on AS, like BR is?

People don't understand the chances of throwing all these pitches right there even on perfect release is physically impossible with Chapman's PAR. I've had 3 people I suspect and every one of them hit the line and corners non-stop throughout the game with pitches less than 80 control.
I would say recoil is definitely written in the game coding. If it is and the zen eliminates it which it does 100%, it could surely do the same with PAR.

So @yankblan_PSN are you accepting the challenge or are you gonna fold? Make no mistake, I know EXACTLY what I'm asking you to do; it's practically impossible. I live in BR and I'm a very capable pinpoint pitcher, I draft Rookie Chapman whenever he shows up. I know exactly how hard it is to locate with him.
I guarantee you, you will not spot 3 perfect pitches in a row. My opponent spotted 10 out 11 perfectly. Once you let that sink in and try it for yourself, then maybe JUST MAYBE you start looking at my thread from different point of view.
So go ahead, please prove me wrong.
They were mostly fastballs so his easiest pitch to locate. I would accept it if you tried it in RS, yes. But I wanna remind you again that you have to be 3 for 3, so if you miss once you fail. Or you can do 10 out of 11 and you can miss once, like my opponent did with that pitch below the zone. I'll leave that up to you.

Even if I win or lose that challenge, it doesn’t prove anything. It’ll only prove at best that I’m a mediocre to average player and at worst that it’s doable. Whatever appeases you ️

I still don’t believe zen is an issue. Pinpoint makes it very easy to locate pitches and once again, some players are very good at the game. If you want to spend $100 for a shotty version of directional hitting and to paint pitches, be my guest, but you probably aren’t very good to begin with

I gonna be the honorary boomer on his thread- what the heck is Zen?

Yeah I used to have this opinion too. But the other day I created a thread where I shared a screenshot of my opponent throwing 10 out of 11 pitches on the black of the corners with rookie Chapman. I live in BR, I draft Chapman every time he pops up and I'm a very capable pinpoint pitcher. But I can't do that and I challenge anyone who thinks they can to try it. That was the first time and the only time I considered the fact that I might be playing (and probably was playing) a guy who uses one and also the first time I realized it might be a bigger issue than I initially thought it would be.

It's a cheating device that allows you to run scripts to get perfect motion inputs. It's commonly used in NBA2K to get green releases and now it has made it's way to MLBTS.
-
There is this though. How do you know he was aiming at the black and corners on all those. Maybe he was aiming off the plate trying to get a swing and miss. And missed and hit the black. That happens a lot to me too

Maybe so, idk. Keep in mind that I also only shared Chapman's pitches because he has such terrible control which made it so odd. The other 2 innings with other pitchers were identical.

Edit:Would you accept it if I try it in RS on AS, like BR is?
They were mostly fastballs so his easiest pitch to locate. I would accept it if you tried it in RS, yes. But I wanna remind you again that you have to be 3 for 3, so if you miss once you fail. Or you can do 10 out of 11 and you can miss once, like my opponent did with that pitch below the zone. I'll leave that up to you.
That pitch below the zone was most likely a purpose pitch.
Yeah, kind of easy to explain anything away that doesn’t meet the narrative… it’s in the game for sure, but this instance, on a small sample and one pitch being way off, isn’t proof, not even close.
