I just faced 99 Rivera and 99 Robinson in an Events game.

First time seeing 99 Rivera. Not sure about 99 Robinson. My opponent had Rivera start the game. I got a lucky (big bounce off the wall) inside the park home run with Mays in the first but his Robinson tied it in the bottom of the first with a crushed HR. Then he scored more, I lost. But I'll always have that Mays inside the park HR!

By the way if movement mattered more Rivera’s cutter would be unhittable.

I’ve used the 99 Rivera for my whole event run.
Idk if everyone is sitting on the cutter, or if it just doesnt move much but I had the most success mixing the fastball, changed up and slider with the cutter mixed in here and there.

I'm 31-4 with Rivera in events games. Don't ask about those 4 games just don't leave him in to pitch the 3rd inn without any energy. Agree with the cutter it's not as effective as the sl/fb/ch mix. With contact swings I think disrupting timing is more important than pitch location/movement.

I just played a guy who sent me a message saying he needed 3 home runs so I let him, expecting the win. It was all a ruse, he never intended to quit. If he had only know he would have won easily against me anyway.

Ha ha, I was a bit mad at first, especially since I am at 18 wins in the event and I don't know if the cumulative wins are reset today.
I did a great job of letting him hit HRs!
