Curious what you guys think his ratings will be.
I’m thinking he’s going to be Steve Finley with slightly better fielding and slightly better contact vs RHP.
-
I'm expecting jacked RHP ratings and not so much LHP. He had some drastic splits, every year really.
Great speed and D -

Great speed and DI agree. Ellsbury from last year with higher contact vs R and a better arm IMO
-
I dont mind it and will def be a good against rightiees with maybe 75-85 contact and 65 power against lefties atm. will be fun to use for those of us who are righty heavy in the lineup or cant use buxton, especially since TA2 was all pitchers and right handed bats

Finley is pretty well balanced he is an absolute stud 5-tool player. I think Sizemore will be much more of a platoon type player we're his splits favor versus righty pitching.

Great speed and DThis. If you look at his career stats, he was HORRID again left handed pitching but if this is the 30/30 2008 season, it's pretty much the same, .224 avg vs LH with a .388 SLG and a .735 OPS, vs a .286 avg with 548 SLG and a .935 ops vs RHP.
If they stick to this, he'd really only be a platoon player (at least Finley can be used vs both. He'll have great speed, stealing and defense though, which will be what really jacks up his rating.
I'm not expecting much....

I agree with this. Finley is a pretty complete player. I think the comparison above to last year's Ellsbury are pretty apropos. Maybe with a little more power and a better arm than the Ellsbury card.

They did a great job with the Live series division and team rewards. Finley, Posada, Goose, Glavine are all in my lineup and will be for a while.

100% agree. Finley, Posada, Glavine and Goose are all top notch. I was slightly disappointed in Tanana, for such a high overall his pitch mix isn't great.

Not entirely sure how ratings are calculated exactly, but they will likely have jacked Sizemore up to get him to a 97. Not sure a few points more of speed, defense, and stealing get him there if they totally nerf is splits.

I think they'll just need to totally jack his RHP ratings. 110/115 or something

That was my thinking as well.
Finley is a 96 so take his card, bump up contact +10 vs RHP, +7 fielding/reaction, speed +3, lower his lefty splits -5 and you probably have a 97.

Finley was terrible vs lefties for his milestone year too and look at his stats.

He’ll be a righty killer and I’ll platoon him with tori hunter

I would like to give up on figuring out the attributes they choose to apply to these cards. The way they did Gehrig dirty for his postseason performance, it's obvious they just make up attributes however they see fit.

I used TAnana once and never again after he got shelled.
