Does anyone else but good 'ol tin-foil hatter, conspiracy theorist, crackpot (prob been called a few more) believe a lot of these posts that are titled. "Pinpoint pitching is ruining the game" "I hate pinpoint pitching", "pinpoint pitching should be outlawed" are just bait to actually get ppl to use Pinpoint Pitching?

I'm sure the developers had to put some work into this new feature. I, personally, hated the cumbersome and extra steps for what I thought was "same 'ol song and dance". If AI is going to let you get pasted..it doesn't matter how perfect your pitch is.

Anyway, I guess I'm sensitive to manipulation. Perhaps there are people out here that believe they are being dominated by opponents that are using pinpoint pitching. Even though they have no idea in the world if said opponent is actually using pinpoint pitching.

To actually suggest Pinpoint Pitching is the 7th wonder of the world would mean that all the other modes truly aren't accurate. Why would that be? I mean, c'mon if you line up perfectly on analog, pulse, meter, whatever why wouldn't you get the perfect pitch the software advertises as perfect pitch?

Instead you have this new "method" that REALLY lets you throw a perfect pitch. New and improved.

The old stuff..nah, just can't guarantee it. Well doesn't logic say...get rid of everything but this new Pinpoint Pitch mode because the developers say we can't trust the perfect pitch we just threw with meter or analog. They've finally come up with something that will truly reward our dedication and practice. Just practice it..we promise you'll always get the results you expect..bahahahaha.

    Just a thought.

I didn’t read all that but I’m sure they’ll keep your crutch around.

I’m in a game r of the now in the 4th where my opponent has been on base 3 times. A late hit, a broken bat single and an error. Meanwhile I have one hit for a HR while getting good timing dotting all over t he pci. so sure I lead 1-0 but id take a fixed game over replacing this new thing y’all need to pitch.

Oops make that 4 base runners with another dribble 1 foot in front of home plate. Lol I wish I recorded this to show how dog [censored] this game is. This guy is now up 3-1 and hasn’t had a single good hit.

You still here? You would be better of practicing your hitting skills, so you don't have to come here and complain that people are dotting too much for your liking.

It’s all good. The game is bad anyway. I just mess with people too. They can just punish people for missing their Mark more. But they have far more problems with this game. I don’t pretend I’m a world beater in this game but I have seen several people say they scribble whatever on the tracing and the ball still basically goes where they want it to.

Lol, no I 100% think people are actually posting that and it doesn't surprise me at all. All the people who relied on [censored] floating down the middle alot to hit in 20 are having a rough go. I didn't realize how much I was just adjusted to waiting for meatballs, it was a rough transition where I'm just now comfortable at the plate again.

also Sds has already shown that the other ones aren't as accurate, they have higher par or whatever they called it in a stream. (I.e. more variance on perfect releases). It's not some big secret that the others are less accurate.

But, like the OP said..shouldn't a perfect pitch with non-pinpoint also go where you intended it? I mean, .2 centimeters (if the eye could even register it) really shouldn't be the difference of hitting the outside of the box or missing it.

If SDS is suggesting that Pinpoint Pitching won't ever result in the much-griped about and fairly common pitch you intend to throw on the corner and ends up in the middle of the plate despite the fact you caught the meter exactly in the sweet spot.....then we might all as well abandon that ship (meaning all the other pitch modes).

But, I don't believe that will happen because then there will be no runs scored or, the AI will have to come up with some other animation anomaly to make it look like a pitch ended up a cement mixer.

You have to be 100% accurate in the first step of PPP to a have a guaranteed “hit the PAR” region. Not 75, 85 or 97%, a hundred. I know sometimes I hit a 100% and feel like I shouldn’t, but this is the first year of implementation. Maybe next year it will be a shade harder to hit 100 or it will be less forgiving.

It should be less precise with the other methods; they are scaled accordingly in difficulty: PPP to meter to analog to pulse. It’s 3-step vs 2 or 1 for pulse. Analog, meter or pulse have the same difficulty wether it’s a FB or a splitter, but PPP has levels according to pitch type.
