Love the Diamond Upgrades... but dang it

I’ve always wished that SDS would create more Diamond cards and make Live Series cards competitive to legend cards. It’s nice to see more go Diamond than downgrade to gold.... but... I sure as heck sold some Muncy, Olson, and Posey cards yesterday thinking they wouldn’t make the Diamond cut. Lesson learned and about 20k less than what I should have. Whoops.

They're not competitve though. Just how many players in the league today do you think are going to be regarded as an all-time great? Pujols, Trout, and who? Acuna is young, and hasn't proven anything yet. The LS are pretty much graded how they should be, a notch below the legends.

So if you were drafting a team from past and present players, you’d pick Jason Bay before any other LS player other than Trout? The answer should be “no”, which shows how over-bloated some legends or flashbacks are.

Sure, but 95% of live series cards that deserve a diamond that competes online ends up getting one at some point (Like awards Story). It might just take a while

LS cards have the Inside Edge. Imagine seeing more diverse line ups every day, depending on who is playing who in real life. If LS cards were more competitive, it could make the game more fun.

Really. Bay is who you are going to use as an example. How about Ruth, Gehrig, Mays, Mantle; the list goes on. Do you really think today's player even deserves to be mentioned in the same breath. Trout probably needs a few more years and Pujols is a shoe-in, but who else?
