RTTS AI is legit brain dead?

As an XBOX guy, I've been so pumped to get to play this year and the actual gameplay mechanics are awesome. Most of the RTTS issues (equipment, call-ups, etc.) seem to have finally been addressed, but I'm continuing to see that the AI for both in-game and pre-game decisions is so dumb it's not even funny anymore.
My player is a multi-time repeating triple crown winner, so naturally he's slotted into the 8 hole? Wtf? Also, how many times do I have to watch an opposing cleanup hitter try a drag bunt w runners on and two outs?
Your game is beautiful; your RTTS manager and AI player decisions are ugly as sin. For next year, maybe hire RTTS developers or testers that have actually watched baseball?

The batting order seems mostly set by overall rating and power vs contact from what I can tell, also speed plays some factor. Overall seems the main driver though.

It is unreal how often the computer will bunt if you are a catcher first baseman or third baseman. At least 6 times a game for me

Yes I think it’s the game manufacturing opportunities for you the get in fielding. Like when I’m catcher they pop up a lot too. What’s funny is they seem scripted. If you get a pop up foul as catcher and for some reason you don’t catch it, they will pop up again on the next pitch.
