Fred McGriff - 7 hits & 4 XBHs
-
I know this has been discussed previously, but I'm having a very difficult time with this one!
I stopped doing 'contact swing' and have been doing 'power swing' for every pitch because McGriff is too slow to get an XBH (usually) without it being a HR.
With that said, I found this on reddit, but unless I'm doing something wrong, on PS5, if you 'QUIT' in the middle of a Moment, it still counts as a game.
Has anyone else been successful doing this?

You don’t have quit, you dashboard. Try to get the first game to 3 hits/2 XBH and restart until you do. Then in game 2, go for the same or 2/2 or 3/1 and dashboard at your last AB if you fail; but if you do it once the game is over it’s too late. Then the last game should be a breeze, and maybe a dashboard or two if you miss.

Thanks! By "Dashboard", you need to hit the PS button and close the game completely out? Right?
You can't just "Quit" the game, right?

Exactly; you need to do it before your last out registers or the game counts. It’s a bore and cheap, but unless they add the option of going to next game like RTTS without exiting or restart on each game, no way I’m going multi games in, only to restart ad nauseam.

Hitting Moments are neither hard or easy, they’re luck

Swing early reg swing he yanks to right center with power.

Swing early reg swing he yanks to left center with power.
Programing some strikes in would be great. Ball after ball after ball

I had tatis on first ...needed a single to beat program. Pitcher picked off tatis. Program over. I beat it the next time, but I was beyond angry.

What gave me fits is I couldn’t adapt to his swing; it was so much faster than I anticipated and kept being early as if he had a long Frank Thomas type swing. My head kept telling me to slow down but my thumbs wouldn’t.

With a lot of the hitting challenges, I’ll switch to Directional hitting and go for a pulled fly-ball - in this case, holding to the upper-right corner. Home Runs!
-
I totally got lucky on this one. With one game to go I still needed four hits and one extra base hit, but for whatever reason I just went into a zone and somehow pulled it off. I even finished in style, hitting a homerun in the bottom of the 9th to get the extra base hit.

@yankblan_PSN really depends because some challenges be saying rookie or veteran and it feels like legend but for this MLB everything is easy bro...just literally git gud...gurantee you the hittin is absolutely broken and easy just dont be intimidated because it says 4 XBH

Oh I did it the day it came out; it’s just that multi game ones I’d rather not be up against near impossible odds having to jack 3 home runs on the last game. I get 50-60% out of the way in the first game and go from there. Nothing I dislike more than spending 30-45 minutes on something and come out empty-handed and having to try again; like TA showdown for example
-
Alright in that case yes it's very annoying ...perhaps I didn't have to say 'git gud' for that just we in the era of anything being a little challenge people want it nerfed which takes the skill and fun out the game but I see your insight...my bad on my mild asshole comment...but as far as the missions they still easier than ever...back in the day RTTS just to get to and stay in the majors u would have to keep up a certain criteria of goals the game gives u to do it was a nightmare from that alll the way to now where u can finish newly card missions in 1 day we came a long way from how hard offline missions used to be in MLB thats really what I was tryna get at.
I still see your point tho.
