everyone just contact swings their way to bombs left and right
just tragic that a good game at the start has turned into this
-
Contact swings were a problem in the tech test. I started plenty of threads about it and everybody said they were ok, blablabla… now we got a huge problem lol

I honestly don't recall those threads and I was on those forums a lot

Wow really!!! If it’s so OP then use it yourself. Honestly the complaining about something as mundane as the contact swing is really sorry excuse. BTW, I haven’t seen any issues with this at all. My question is how can you tell what swing he is using. I’m guessing that you’re just assuming that’s what is being used. And please don’t tell me that you can tell because of the pci feedback. That’s a bs argument because pci size doesn’t dramatically change until HOF difficulty.

Enough with the eye water.

I have 55 event wins and couldn't tell you if a single opponent used contact swing or not.

The only places contact swings aren’t OP are moments and showdown; basically anywhere it’d be welcomed!

I'm at 38 wins and have been having a blast been playing so well in the Gold Glovers one. I use normal swing all day and crush the ball. I couldn't tell you if my opponent is using contact swing there is no where that tells you the type of swung

My point exactly

The logic that some people can’t tell if their opponent is using contact or not is irrelevant to the actual discussion.

I mean it kinda is like how can you claim someone is using contact when there is no way to know what type of swing they use. It's just the easy cop out for this year when someone loses and they can't admit they got beat by someone else cause their ego might get hurt

I don’t understand why people are so upset about contact swings? Like, induce weak contact! It IS frustrating when your opponent fouls off a million pitches, but we are all playing the same game here.
Just find a way to get your opponent out. Make a pitch! So many of you just rely on throwing one strike to get ahead and then spamming balls. Learn to throw competitive pitches?

Alot of players don't realize how predictable they actually are when pitching. Once you figure put a pattern they are easier to hit against. Doesn't always result in wins but it helps.

Why go over 50? And how would you know, you manually counting so you brag here?

Exactly. I don’t like throwing 9 pitches in an AB either, but it’s easier to blame ️ than to pitch better.

Feedback, typically if the outer pci aka vision and inner pci are larger than the strike zone than you know. Also the answer to fixing an exploit is not saying “just use it yourself”, that’s usually the response of someone abusing said exploit.

There is a wins counter

I'm actually at 45/50. I thought the max was 60 and knew I was 5 away from the top. Even if I were 5 over, how is that a brag? It's a meaningless 3-inning event where most people quit if you go up by 2-3 runs early.

Got ya. The event won’t count wins over the max amount so if you were at 55, only way you would have known was if you take the time to keep track yourself of those meaningless wins as the game doesn’t.
Sorry to give you a hard time, some people on here love to come on to flex post over silly things. Obviously you weren’t doing it. Cheers.

Yeah you can see your own pci feedback you can’t see that feedback from your opponents pci that’s why many of us are trying to figure out how somebody knows that a contact swing is being used.
