players who hit multiple bombs per game

It's a fantasy mode, of course there will be tons of HRs.
If you just want good baseball, set your game to simulation mode and play franchise and MTO.
You can also make a custom roster, share it with friends, and play using that roster instead.
All the options are available, people need to learn how to use them. -
I lol’ed at seagulls in the face; long day at work...

I think we have to start accepting that MLB 21 is a bad game....which is REALLY confusing.
MLB 21 is like a beautiful and talented woman who just has a terrible personality OR an awesome roller coaster that's either always down with mechanical issues or is built next to a lake, so you keep getting hit in the face by seagulls. If it weren't for the over the top, cartoony amount of home runs (basically every single game is determined by home runs this year) I'd rate this game an 8.75/10, but as it currently stands, it's more appropriate to give it a 2.75/10.
Sadly, SDS is catering to the people who actually like 70% of hits being a homer.
That bolded part made me laugh, lol

seems like all my losses are from players hitting multiple bombs on me. a player will hit 3 bombs with 5 total hits in the game and i lose 4 to 2......all their players are 95 ovr and up, oritz, trout , chipper, etc. they literally swing at all kinds of pitches, i struck out a player last night 13 times and he hit 4 bombs off of 6 hits and i pulled my pitcher after 7 innings and then i just quit in the game cause my relief sucks and finished out the game with what was a tie game into the 6th inning. its weird tho cause when i get a hit they cant field, run by baseballs rolling, delayed throws etc. it doesnt add up.
So what your saying is the game still hasn't changed?

You mean like real life baseball? If you’ve watched baseball in the last couple years you’d know it’s walk, strikeout, or homerun. Baseball stinks now lol.
-
My gripe is they foul off everything. Even balls a foot off the plate and then once you throw something minutely in the strike zone prepare for launch Houston
-
I don’t know what to think when I play someone like that... chase EVERYTHING, throw out of the zone all game.. but all it takes is one pitch left in the zone and it’s gone. How?

Saw an article (Joe Posnanski I think) in The Athletic that showed that for the first time ever last year there was more strike outs than singles; this year, the MLB batting average is lower than the (in)famous 1968 season despite almost one more run per game than then. It’s HR or bust.

Yep, it’s a shame. I’m obviously a huge baseball fan, but I barely watch games anymore. They’re painfully boring now. I hate what happened to the sport.

I grew up watching Tim Raines, Otis Nixon, Marquis Grissom, Delino DeShields batting leadoff, putting balls in play and stealing. All of that is gone. Rob Deer was such a quirky statistical improbability and now he’d be run of the mill. Old man getting older I guess. Makes you realize how much better pitchers as a whole have gotten/the talent floor being raised. If you had a closer that threw 95-97 the DJ would put on Wild Thing on the speakers lol

This is my biggest problem. I lost a game the other night where I had like 15 Ks, but throw a pitch near the zone and it was over the fence.

"Everybody can agree that seagulls are the worst."

I totally understand homers on pitches down the middle/hangers/up in the zone, but I've given up a decent bit on backdoor sliders that literally are dot on the low outside corner or changeups 3-4 inches below the zone
