I posted this as a reply but figured I would post it as a new topic for everyone to see.

So how you fix this is... Create a bronze catcher archetype that is primary C and create your maxed out loadout. Set the bronze with catcher primary as your "Active Loadout" and add to your squad at catcher. Then when you enter a RS game select the maxed out loadout. He will be primary catcher but have the stats of your maxed out build.

Edit: **This will only work for online game modes because you can select your archetype prior to the game.

    Sorry bro - dumb question..

My main Cap is a SS - I created a loadout with C secondary position (slick fielding?) Do i need to restart the whole process to get that as a C? It still shows my new loadout as a SS?

You need the bronze archetype the has catcher as main position set as primary, then you select the ss loadout when you enter the game.

Which Archtype? I tried to change it to one that has C as a secondary - but it still shows my CAP as a SS.

It is the bronze "Slick Fielding". That needs to be set as your active loadout, then you put him in your lineup at the catcher position and he should not have a "Secondary" banner. Then when you enter a RS game, select the loadout you want to use for that game. Then after the game you need to go back to your loadouts and set the bronze "Slick Fielding" loadout you built as the active loadout before entering another RS game. You just rinse and repeat after that. I would keep a backup catcher on your bench just incase you forget to reset the active loadout because he will drop everything if you forget that step.

You can’t. Please use search bar before posting an obvious question that’s been answered on here many times.

Has anyone else tried OP's method and been successful???

I played about 5 games last night using this method and it worked pretty well In the first game my player started dropping balls regularly in the 7th inning and I switched him out for Salvy but all the other games he was maybe dropping 2-3 per game.

Do you have high fielding on that build? My cap doesn't drop anything at catcher. Make sure you are resetting the bronze as active loadout before every RS game.

My blocking wasnt great at the time, I think it was more of an attribute issue than that method not working cause like I said it worked fine all the other games

Yea, deflecting is always best when in the wrong. So much better than changing any of your views.

Sounds legit. I’ll bench my starting C for a few games and try it out.
