No reason they can’t have the pitchers repertoire, hitters attributes and defensive alignment somewhere on the screen at all times.
Then they can have the previous pitches up before the wind up.

you're playing a video game. There is no such thing as quick pitching. When you're playing the game as long as you're paying attention then there is no issue. If you're not ready to hit when your guy gets in the box then either stop playing or pause the game.

Yea played a guy last night who quick pitch all game and called it keeping pace lol. I'm r2 cheesin hard after the first quick pitch. You don't want me to r2 then stop with the quick pitching bs.

What are people referring to as quick pitching? Working quickly, or do they mean slide stepping without coming set? Those are 2 drastically different things.

Quick pitching and contact swing hrs been hit all over the place and everybody wants to cry about r2 holding. The one who cry about r2 are the one who quick pitch. Funny how that works

Are you talking about slide stepping then? because again, different issue. Pressing the button and immediately going out of the windup as soon as you get the ball isn't cheese. There is plenty of time to react to pitches.

Oh, I agree with you, but it seems some R2 positive people are talking about one of those aspects, and some are taking about the other.
The anti R2 group just wants people to not abuse it for the purpose of their pitcher chucking one down the middle. We've all been there, where you have a big moment and the opponent will use R2 just to screw your start of your pitch on analog and now pinpoint.

I guess I’m in the “quick pitch” crowd. I grind the hell out of this game. I want to play as many games as possible. Waiting extra seconds between every single pitch of every game is a waste of time. Varying the time you take to throw pitches could be a valuable tool to use vs some opponents to throw off timing, but for the most part let’s keep it moving. I get waaaaaay more annoyed at people who take forever between pitches to throw than I do at those who pitch quickly.
The R2 peeps are almost always the guys with the low team averages who are just hoping to force a mistake pitch. It never happens when you play vs an absolute goon with every player batting .400 and up. They just adjust to you and hit.

Jus another way for ppl to cheese through a game then ppl get upset when they try and combat chesse with cheese. Would love to see how many balks you quick pitching cheese players would get in a game if sds actually did the right thing and brings balks back

How is using Kenley cheese? Because you can’t hit vs him? How about be ready to hit when you get in the box instead of holding R2?

How is using Kenley cheese? Because you can’t hit vs him? How about be ready to hit when you get in the box instead of holding R2?
No i hit just fine. How about you come set before a pitch like a the rules of the game says you should. Oh sds doesn't make you, so you want to throw 10 pitches in 60 seconds?

People who hold R2 are literally making the same argument as people who quick pitch. Both people are trying to dictate the pace of play in different ways.

Not trying to dictate pace at all and only r2 now when the quick pitching starts. Never done it before but sick of it now. You can work as quick as you want if you come set. You can work as slow as you want as long as you come set.

The only thing that I use R2 for is to check the pitcher stamina and confidence. I only use R2 once or twice a game.
