It's childish and immature, just like he is in real life. It doesn't reflect well with professionalism. That said, I'm glad it's in the game because that's what he does in real life.

Yeah. I think it’s douchey. I would have beaned someone big they did it when I played

I never understood the double standards of baseball. It’s ok for pitchers to get fired up and yell after a strikeout(Max Scherzer for example). But when a batter looks at a homerun, bat flips, or do a shuffle in the box it’s a problem lol. I’m callin bs

    Biased nats fan indeed

Maybe I’m a biased Nats fan but hey I love it lol

Watching him hit in real life is cool, it’s his way of focusing and getting dialed in, definitely unique....

anyone who has played any level of sport knows that personality is part of the battle. if him doing whatever in the box gets the pitcher off their game then shame on the pitcher. he will inevitably go to far at some point and get checked with a fastball to the ribs, but that's part of the equation too... the more personality in the game the better, I hope they include more of these types of animations

Yeah I like it. I've been impressed with the player trademark routines/poses.

I love that it’s in the game and I love that he does it.

I think people who hate it just don’t get Latin players. The culture has a flair and is passionate. I mean if you hate that you must hate all of Harpers antics. You need all this stuff to make the game more fun. Both the MLB game and The Show

Many Latin players bring that and are misunderstood: Bautista bat flip, Acuna hot dogging, everything Puig does, Fernando Rodney arrow.

Any time there is personality added to the game of baseball, I love it, good or bad. This has always been the case.
Baseball needs that and is better off for it. I remember when Griffey took the league by storm. He was always doing things like that and it made baseball better off for it.
    Soto is fantastic

How about if a pitcher doens't like something a batter did they can throw the ball at them. What if a batter doesn't like how a pitcher reacted? Can they throw their bat at them?
