Uh oh. You gonna make the sds apologists mad that you even suggest DDA. Ive noted a few times on here that DDA is a actual thing, and makes for Modes like DD, muT, and Fut thrive. They release these new cards all the time, and that makes Johnny thinks if spend such and such real money the latest and greatest card will prevent him from losing which we know it won't.
I'll believe in DDA when mercy rules in this game cease to exist. If DDA was truly a think mercy rules would simply not happen ever. 90% of the "this game has DDA" posts are made by a player that left his pitcher in to long or brought in a scrub reliever and lost in the late innings. There just isn't enough proof that it exists. Anyway doesn't EA have a patent on the entire concept of DDA?
Do you know how there are mercy rules? Because people leave their pitchers in too long and that trumps any DDA. Do mound visits and switch pitchers and the chances of you being mercied are extremely rare. The game will help you out if you are losing and give you chances.
Ironically leaving pitchers in too long is what prompts most of these DDA posts in the first place. You really think SDS has the ability to program defensive animations to favor/go against people based on situation? You are giving them too much credit if that's the case. They haven't gotten catcher fielding right in the entire history of this game being online. You thinking they have the capability of programming DDA is laughable
So Madden doesn't program in fumbles when you are about to go ahead 21-0? I'll give you more examples. Ball to the gap. Your 99 speed outfielder physically slows down when you are in the lead and the ball drops. However, if you are behind he speeds up and makes the catch. Are you saying you have never seen players speed up or slow down. If so you are not only naive but blind. You may want to get your eyes checked. It happens all the time.
There is DDA in madden. I'll give you that. Because EA has a patent on the concept. Just seems strange to me that the person that thinks McDonalds wifi or a phone hotspot helps you out in this game more that a good internet connection thinks that outfielders speeding up is DDA and not connection based
I did not believe that hotspot "hypothesis" either, but I am a believer now. Last year my 400gbps internet went out and had to switch to my phone's < 3gbps hotspot and actually saw the ball better and the feedback was usually more accurate. I actually went 14-1 in a HOF Event (my personal best) a couple of years ago at my family's home one summer, when their internet speed was as bad as dial-up quality.... I could give a couple of more examples of this, and while I do not know why the hotspot or a slower internet connection speed seems to work better sometimes, after having to experience it myself, I second his hypothesis.

Guys, I just found @D_e_m_I_s_E_PSN ’s burner account!!!
lol no, but here is my guess of why he may be correct:
A P2P connection will connect at the lowest upload speed, therefore, if you are the player with the slower upload speed (hotspot), your connection will determine the speed of the data transfer rate. However, if you have the superior connection, then your gaming experience may seem "slower" due to latency from your superior download speed being so much greater than the other player's inferior upload speed. Your superior connection is basically downloading the data bit by bit at an (overall rate) faster than it is being uploaded.... so a frame or two may be delayed on your end due to the upload speed of the hotspot having so much lag and being inconsistent. -
i didn’t see it in HOF and legend, but am definitely seeing it in allstar and veteran

Yep there is no skill in this game what so ever, just tell that to pitching rebel, YFK, Trumanation, or any of the guys who are top 50 every season. Guess that “DDA” is in their favor every game. Such a troll post. Gtfo with this garbage. And RNG means random and does not mean comeback logic. So if there was RNG it would be completely unbiased. What most people are actually dealing with is not any of these issues, it’s your connection to the servers or more importantly your ping while connected to the servers. Bad ping or inconsistent ping can make the game feel like RNG, CL, or DDA. But complainers are always going to complain rather than logically reason about what is actually going on.

Lol… nice try. You don’t think that account buffs are possible to make streamers look good? Don’t kid yourself. Take a look at showdowns with the perk cards. Clearly they can code buffs into the game however they want. Skill doesn’t matter in this game. Skill can’t combat the constant good/good or even P/P lineouts and flyouts while the opponent hits very early/weak home runs or continuous flare hits. Such a joke.

This is really an embarrassing reply. Go find a hole and curl up in it, while you contemplate why SDS has rigged the game for some and not others (you).

Yeah I mean if you could rake with silvers and never spend a dime on diamonds… oh wait, SDS would never rig the game against you to get you to put money in to buy “better” cards.

The only thing that upload speed deals with is the matchmaking aspect of online play where the engine is determining quality of connection. Ping is far more important than even download speed. Unless you are the sever your upload speeds are irrelevant.

When you start mlb the show for the first time it literally asks you if you want DDA in your gameplay experience lol.....so the argument that they don’t have it is insanity. They even have a aetting for it to turn on and off what you mean they don’t have it? The only question is if online has it or not
Lol that’s not the same thing at all. The DDA talked about in-game (offline) is if you’re dominating Veteran, they’ll move you up to Allstar (faster pitch speeds, smaller PCI). It’s got nothing to do with what people are claiming (errors by your fielders when you’re in lead, jammed hits galore). What they are saying is when you’re winning, the game will start to favour the team thats trailing and nerf the winning team
That’s not what the offline DDA is? Cause in madden they have a patent and it 100% is in online play, and it tilts the game one way for sure from time to time.
Do you know what a patent is? EA has exclusive rights to DDA. So of course you are going to see it in Madden, FIFA, and NHL. We are talking about this game here
I think with DDA and patent what is patent protected is how it is achieved ie the algorithms used to execute it. Presumably the software code is covered under copyright. The idea being the patent protection is in exchange for sharing how you achieve/build your invention you have exclusive rights to this process for a limited time. There's nothing to stop someone else from taking the idea and finding ANOTHER way to produce or achieve it.
For instance: I can patent an industrial process for liquifying air, but cannot patent the idea of liquifying air altogether.

I’m curious as to whether or not anyone thinks that some of what leads to the perception of ubiquitous “comeback logic” may be attributable to a runaway CLT rating? Not trying to say this is definitely the case, but I’ve wondered for some time...
Though I’ve played this game since inception, I only started DD last year; it was all online head to head with MLB teams (and just the A’s for me) on HOF and Legend, and the game played so well... switching to god squads, it just feels like a struggle to keep the outcomes limited to real life results (especially being personally talent capped to AllStar, mainly) and I’m just wondering what weird stuff happens when lineups of perpetual 100+ “clutch” guys are up in pressure situations late in games... might feel like scripted comebacks.
