Why change hitting?!

Hitting was great. Playing games was fun again. Why on Earth would you make it harder? Not even a week into the game! I'll bet 90 percent of players loved the hitting the way it was. So disappointed.

It’s the load couple people on TSN that ruin it EVERY SINGLE YEAR. All we wanted was increased pitch speeds. That makes pitching better, but doesn’t make hitting harder necessarily. That’s it. Faster pitch speeds and better fielding would have made this game perfect

This game sucks now. All homers. No hit variety. Everything hit at someone. RIP.

The patch ruined hitting. The only reason 20was better than 19 was because perfects gave you more hits instead of squared outs (which never got fixed). Now that it is far harder to get perfect, this is essentially a worse version of 19s hitting (since they had already nerfed good/good)

Agreed 100%. Played games before and after the patch today and there is a night and day difference in hitting. Sucks! Please do a patch tomorrow, Fri that unwinds the hitting change!!

SDS always ruins hitting.

Hitting was far toooooooo easy before patch. Perfect Perfect happen way too often and there was zero skill gap. I played 2 hours this morning and you are still reward if you put pci on ball...but its harder to do that with a smaller pci.

BS. This game is fn terrible now. Played for a week straight non stop and couldn’t take more than a hour of that garbage. I had plenty of swings with pci on ball and good timing that ended up in a glove and my only two hits were HR. This is MLB 18.

SDS ruined hitting, but they did it based off the comments in this forum. I told you guys give it some time.
Most people were still in team building mode and working out the kinks.

I was averaging 10-15 perfect perfects a game. It was way to easy. You are still rewarded for putting pci on ball in the game right now.

Do you realize that almost everyone in the forum has come to hate the "Little Billy" phrase and that the changes they made to hitting don't fit your narrative at all.

Yea...making the PCI smaller is the exact opposite of catering to little billy's.
I'll wait until I get some play time tonight to make a judgment, but making hitting more difficult is a move in the right direction IMO.
However, I do agree with people saying they need pitching analog feedback to be more rewarding.

I honestly don’t know why people said the PCI was too big. Are they talking about the full PCI you start the game with, outer and inner PCI? Because the inner PCI aka the only one that actually matters was fine how it was

I personally still felt the PCI on All-Star was too big. So if it's smaller I'm happy with that change.

I'm sure SDS was looking at data. This is a simulation game so if they were seeing huge batting avgs in online play maybe they are trying to reduce it to more realistic numbers.

If you want a simulation style game that mirrors the exact game of baseball go outside and play with friends. This patch destroyed a perfect game

I’m looking forward to trying it. I haven’t really given much feedback other than I felt that pitch speeds needed a slight tune up and the pci needed to be smaller. I actually had a lot of good/okay with the pci centered up and on time (typically happened to guys with larger PCIs). My best hitter this year has been grandal, and his pci is pretty small compared to a lot of guys I run in my lineup.

Hitting was way too easy for everyone. Just press x homer. Every pitch in the zone gone. Hitting tough in real life,. Get used to it
